Staying for business
Nobody else staying so no evening meal that in could see People dining.
Went out a drive to nearest Indian restaurant. It was good .
Comfortable rooms and spacious. A lot of spiders and moths in bathroom Think due to bing out in country side. They get every where apart from that nice sleep

Charming property but run down.
We stayed in The Grange room. Plenty of space and furnished with an interesting collection of furniture including a bug bed, but with a pretty ordinary mattess. Unfortunately the shower was broken. Credit to the very nice host, he did let us know and offered us an alternate room if we wanted. The dining room looked great, and set up for a busy night. Oddly we were one of only 2 groups staying and the place just felt "empty". Nice little village and lots of parking.
Hotel was dated but ok, the restaurant was closed & we weren’t told when we called the day before. The windows in the room wouldn’t close so was very draughty. Lots of the hotel seemed to be done on the cheap I wouldn’t book this hotel again.
Great parking and room size.
Many things in the room were broken (roman blind rolled up and balancing on the top of the window sill, bottom draw in the chest of draws completely broken and put in back to front, light fittings in bathroom broken).
The furniture throughout the hotel was not "boutique" standard but rather cheap.
I had a bedroom with a bath only and no method of washing my hair (no shower attachment or jug). I did request one and it was happily provided)
The walls/doors were so thin that each morning I could hear my neighbour showering. I don't mean some background water noise, I mean every intimate detail of the showering process!
Very odd to have the coffee and hot chocolate ordered served in a large glass, which was so hot that you then could not pick it up to drink!
Weird place that I can't bring myself to return to.
Friendly staff loads of character
Food basic but tasty

Property has potential but when we were there, no chef was on duty and so no evening meal was available although a simple breakfast was OK. They have a well-appointed main dining room but without a chef it was not in use.
Great room food fair .
No draught at bar
Paid 42 the rooms are mostly huge.
Recommend.
Very clean

Firstly, ‘A’ for effort! The room was a good size with separate toilet and bathroom... all good there. However, the mattress was really poor - probably quite old as it was saggy and uncomfortable. Our room faced the road - so traffic noise inevitable. Then... we paid for breakfast in the room rate... which needed up being ‘continential’ and free first morning no bread or anything was offered - so it was a very very small selection of cereal, yoghurt croissants (individually wrapped - so not fresh). The second morning we were offered eggs - I specifically asked for scrambled not fried - but fried turned up... the effort was there and it was politely presented. But not as would be expected for a place of this standard.
Welcomed by a man who wearing a beanie hat who didn't really seem to know how things worked and was told that the restaurant was closed for maintenance and choice of scampi or egg, ham and chips.
Was in the area for business and stayed here. Large rooms but could here next door talking loudly till 2 am so not good sleep.
The facility’s in the room were good. Coffee, tea, biscuits etc and and nice large tv.
The only problem was with the shower. The shower head was broken and also the knob to turn it hot and cold was broken off so could only have shower at temp that it was broken off at.
The menu was too expensive for us to eat there as we were on a budget and also told that they did not have any chicken. So for me did not like anything else on menu.
Decided to eat out of hotel but as it’s in middle of farm land had a bit of journey to get to a village.
Breakfast was good and a variety to have.
Over all just a ok stay
A really decent stay at a fair B&B price. It's actually a really lovely old building, with some handsome features. Decent places in the area are hard to find, and many of the places we've tried are soulless corporate bed sheds. The French Partridge is a pleasant antidote to that, and the staff are really friendly and thoughtful. This is not luxe boutique (be fair, the prices clearly reflect this) but it is a good value, really pleasant and quirky place. Really large room, good bathroom inc. slipper bath and separate shower, excellent breakfast, free parking. I've seen this place listed for ages, but was put off by some negative comments. I'm glad I've finally given them a chance. Looks brilliantly set up for business meetings too.
A beautiful hotel with large, comfortable rooms. I would definitely stay here again

Needs some serious TLC.
All looking in need of some TLC. Especially exterior. Starnge bar area..no atmosphere and no draft beers...a liitle pricey too.
Do not book a taxi via the hotel to local resturants as was charged a £20 set charge for a 3 mile ride into Denton. The charge back was only £10!
Choise nit to eat at hotel as lacking atmosphere. There are some nice pub resturants a few mins drive in Denton and Yardley Hastings.
Stayed here for race meet at Silverstone but will def be looking to stay elsewhere next time.
Staff freindly though ..... shame as with a bit of TLC would be a nice place.
Whoever owns this establishment needs to seriously think what to do as i'm certain repeat bookings are low if not non existant.
Room was clean and comfortable (St Mary's) but noisy with creaky floor boards (old building so somewhat expected). When flushing toilet the wall shaked like hell! .... great shower though.
Never used outdoor area.....looked uncared for.
Will not be returning for our next visit to Silverstone.....sorry.

You Can't Argue At this Price
I've seen a lot of negative reviews on here, and my experience does not tally. Yes, the decor might be a little tired, and it's a fair way out of town, but the beds are comfortable and I got several good nights sleep over two stays in two weeks.
It's small and quiet and being at the cheap end of the market attracts a lot of weekday contractors/workers like myself. The place is also a restaurant so don't expect a massively well stocked bar. I ate one night and the steak was marvellous, if a bit pricey compared with the competition around. I bought breakfast for each morning and the bacon and sausage are rather good - none of your mass produced rubbish here. Service can be a bit slow/sporadic, but it helps to catch the staff's eye early on and then you remain at the head of the queue.
The wi-fi is a series of "domestic" routers since this is a n olf farmhouse so the walls are quite thick and the signal doesn't travel far. For the negative reviews on here - find the one with the strongest signal and use that! They are on the floor rather than tucked up into ceilings to make the most of the range - a small price to pay.
Whilst the various fittings and fixtures might be bit worn - being polite if this is boutique then the look is shabby-chic, but contrary to what others have said I always found the place well cleaned and tidy on arrival and everything worked.
A friendly welcome. Room spacious and well furnished.
Dinner menu limited but steak was delicious. Perhaps a warming on portion size would have been handy. Certainly won't go hungry!!
