Stay here if you have a chance!
This was a nice surprise in a not so great part of town. This section of Ft. Lauderdale is close to the airport and not a really nice section of town. The pool was lackluster, so don't get excited about that. However the staff is very friendly, the lobby is very nice, and the breakfast area is large with lots of seating, TVs, and many food and beverage choices all included in your stay. There is a shuttle I saw running often to/from airport and port, and the staff was very helpful with those communications. I had a one bedroom and it was very big! A huge desk, big kitchen and a sofa seating area. Lots of room! The hotel seems new and very clean! I could live there!

Clean, reasonably quiet place to stay. Shuttle van was not clearly identifiable; I had to ask the driver if he was the one for Residence Inn.

Our room was not ready when we arrived, however after a few minutes we received an upgraded room which we very much appreciated. Breakfast was nice and the hotel has a nice pool and splash area for younger kids. We stayed her twice on the front and back side of our cruise. Nice and conveniently located close to the airport and cruise port.

Room-clean. Breakfast-decent. ADA room - Insufficient for stroke survivor. Requested a room with roll-in shower. Shower was not roll-in. It had a huge lip at the threshold. We requested & received a shower stool & husband was able to step in. I assisted him as he attempted to shower. It had only one grab bar. It had no hand-held shower wand (neither bathroom in our 2-bedroom suite had a wand). The position of the shower head and soap dispensers were too far from the the grab bar and from the handle used to turn on the shower. They were about 3 - 5 feet apart. I placed a towel on the shower floor and put the shower seat in & attempted to help husband get closer to the shower head, but it turned out to be unsafe & he almost slipped. I decided to get him out & he could only take a wash up at the sink. Desk clerk - rude regarding our request for late check-out. He gave us 12 noon & said it was all that was available. We were attempting to gather our things and we went a little past noon. I was charged a $50 late fee. We left the room at around 12:45 p.m. As seniors making every effort to gather our things to leave, we should not have been charged as a courtesy, since there were no guests in the lobby waiting for a room. Airport shuttle - was late, then left us. 2nd driver came but dropped us between terminals after passing ours & refused to circle back. I had to walk a long distance dragging 3 pieces of heavy luggage, with husband following in his wheelchair. Terrible service.

Nice property but cleaning policy an issue
Lovely property and very well designed rooms and common areas however they did not clean our room on our second day of stay and when I enquired about it, was told they only clean every 6 days which no one mentioned to me at check in.. front desk lady was kind enough to bring me some towels and a trash bag for me to take out my own trash. Now if I needed to do that - could have just stayed at home and not at a hotel. So that’s why experience at this hotel was bittersweet as the breakfast was pretty good and employees friendly. Maybe it’s a great place for a 1-night stay but if it’s longer, then pick a different place which cleans your room every day
