An affordable yet flawed house in FL
It's a nice house to stay at if you are on a budget and want to experience Florida. It's definitely more of a home base for exploring the surrounding area, and it's not walking distance to things like the beach.
A few things to note if you are staying at this house:
-We initially booked this house for 5 nights. The night before we arrived (coming from far away) the renter cancelled our trip due to COVID in the home and barely offered more than a "sorry" or a proper explanation given the fact we were supposed to check in within 24 hours. It was odd. We ended up rebooking the house for 3 nights and making last minute accommodations for the other 2, but had to spend way more money in the process (not given a full refund because it was COVID.) Check in overall was chaotic given everything that happened. Maybe a one time thing, maybe not.
-For the purpose of the VRBO, this is a not a 4 BR house. There's only 3 rooms with beds and another "game room" which just has an air mattress in the closet.
-Things were mostly clean, but the floors were definitely not cleaned and had noticeable grime on them. This is after the host delayed our stay and said the house needed to be deep cleaned due to COVID.
-We had to buy a lot of the basic necessities of the home, which I'm accustomed to finding available in a rental home. Things like toilet paper and paper towel had to be purchased from Publix mid trip. The house and kitchen in general are sparsely filled with things you might need.
If you are young and on a budget this house could work for you. Don't expect much tho. Host is a nice person and responsive but really needs to improve business practices for guests paying significant money to stay in the home.
