We were charged $450 for a suite with 2 queen beds. The photos looked so beautiful. When we got there they told us they oversold the rooms and didn’t have enough rooms in the main hotel. They moved us across the street to another building where they supposedly had the “suites”. We were given a beat up 1 bedroom apartment type of place where the bathroom door wouldn’t even properly close. It smelled like someone had been smoking there before. It was more similar to a motel 6 room than a 4 star hotel. All we were offered because of this screw up was a lot of I’m sorry and vouchers for free breakfast. Such a scam! Will never stay there again

The Tremont House Hotel, Galveston, Texas
The Tremont House Hotel in Galveston, Texas is located on the bay side of the island in downtown. The Gulf of Mexico beaches are a little over a mile away on the ocean side. The Tremont House is located very near where cruise ships dock. There is a trolley which runs between downtown and the beach, and there is a public transportation system. This flat, flat island is wonderful for riding a bicycle.

Nicely designed old property in a good location. But don't pay extra for the "view." It is not a view--if you look down you can see some of the atrium and for that you pay extra. It is a joke.

Very nice. The room was very roomy and dark for sleeping. Beds were so comfortable. I would recommend for 1 night as it’s a bit pricey with the 36 dollar added parking charge. .
