The Tremont has long been our favorite. The staff was wonderful. Everything was very clean. I have a few suggestions however. Each room should have two chairs, a microwave, and four regular coffee pods. Our bed seemed too soft for us this visit. We enjoyed our stay.

I loved the ton m room, but the food - dinner and breakfast- were terrible and I had no hot water in my room and at 4:00 am I went to the desk and told the girl and she said a technician could come to my room in a while and I said I’m alone and no they aren’t going in my room because I’m sure I’m not the only one and she ok and did nothing!! Absolutely nothing! I couldn’t shower! I had to wash my face in cold water, and it was a joke because for $500 a night plus $25 a drink and $30 for a flat bread pizza - I expected more!!

Always love staying at Tremont. Will be great when rooftop bar opens again. Check your bill though. Was charged for someone else’s bar tab and I was charged room rate on 2 different credit cards. They resolved the issue quickly but only because I brought it to their attention.

Galveston Tremont

We love Tremont in Galveston. It is convenient to the cruise ship terminals and the Strand is walking distance from the hotel. The beds are comfortable and we always get a refreshing stay when we stay at the Tremont.

Beautiful and excellent hotel on The Strand

The building is historic and beautiful. The original architecture and design elements were maintained during a modernization process. The room was beautiful. The breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff of the hotel were welcoming and friendly. My only observation about anything to consider improving might be the staff in the breakfast restaurant, all of whom were efficient and professional while all simultaneously appeared unhappy. It was striking in comparison to the rest of the hotel and our experiences at other restaurants in Galveston.

This hotel is beautiful and was a great option for us to be able to walk to the port for a cruise. They offer a shuttle to the port for $15 per person. That seemed a little ridiculous since the walk is only 5 minutes away. Our room was very nice and had lots of space. It's up to date and very aesthetic. It was fun to stay here for a night.
