The location and the view were fantastic. Unfortunately, the rooms are very outdated and in desperate need of repairs, the carpet was filthy with stains all over.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend for our anniversary. I called ahead to request a high floor with a view and they really came through with one for me. We were overlooking the Tower Bridge and had a nice bottle of brut with some macaroons to enjoy, along with a nice note asking us to feel at home. My only gripe would be the elevator in the morning. Sometimes it would take 15 minutes to get to the lobby. Other than that, great location and warm, welcoming staff.

The property is priced for the view which are amazing. We were going to stay another day but was quoted a much higher price and moved to a DoubleTree which was closer to the tube and more modern. The property is a little dated and lifts are waiting game. Certainly not a bad place to stay if you can get a deal and we enjoyed four nights here. If first time in London be prepared for lots of walking. The tube is about 900mtrs away. The hotel was quiet and the room had what you would expect. Bathroom was the room that needed a update. For some reason much of the UK do not have shower mixers (one tap) despite NZ having them for 50 years. Not sure why. It’s a big hotel - it took over a minute to walk from the hotel to our room and I did get lost on occasion.

My son and I booked a family room, but on arrival a, padam advised given we were a two would we accept an upgrade to a twin. Our family room would certainly have been a bigger room, a double and a double sofa, but he persuaded me with details of coffee machine, mini bar and a view room. To be honest I wasn’t certain whose benefit this was for, as the twin was smaller and had a back of hotel office/half Tower of London view. Nevertheless, the room itself was fine but I can’t help feeling short changed as not sure family room would have been absent of the same aspects.

Great location for a hotel ! Only things is they need to upgrade their rooms for sure especially the bathroom and need to add Netflix and other options for watching television. The bathrooms need robes and also a fan. Need to put in a fridge for cold drinks and room service should be available 24/7

Beautiful Views The property is quite dated but has been preserved nicely. I recommend renovations to include a mini refrigerator in the rooms also ice vending machines. The pillows and beddings are so so comfortable I loved them. The staffs were always ready to help and answered all my questions. I’ll probably return if I want to be around St Kathrine Docks
