The room we were given was very small and we had barely any room to move, the toilet roll holder barely held up and fell off when we tried to use the toilet paper. The beds were comfortable but again there was no room for us to move and our room was placed infront of the lifts which were constantly going off which was a bit annoying. The bins were also very small and didnt have enough room to throw anything away, and there were stains all over the carpet. We were slightly disappointed in the room considering we paid such a high amount to stay.

The welcome at the reception desk was excellent, the room was clean and had everything I needed, the bar was a good size, comfortable and looks good and the hotel is less than 10 mins walk from Glasgow Central Station. I didn’t eat there so cannot comment on the restaurant.

An excellent three night stay in an executive room, few small issues coffee pods and tea bags not replenished each day, a leaking wash basin in the bathroom which we kept having to dry up each time the basin was used, the drips were clearly visible and should have been picked up by housekeeping. Reported to reception on day one and again on departure.

This hotel does what it says in the tin. Central, clean, easy to walk everywhere. It is a no frills hotel but had everything you need and the room was completely refreshed for my second night. Bed was very comfortable and it was nice to have a room where you can open a window and not have to rely on air conditioning.(for some reason I was given an ‘acessible room’ which did make me smile. Huge bathroom. My only minor niggle was the water pressure in the shower, there wasn’t any and it was a slow dribble/flow if water. Usual complimentary tray, although I do wish the coffee was better, cheap instant coffee (I appreciate this all had to be costed out though). Price was what you would expect for a city center. We did use the bar and had some light snacks before going to the theatre, as above, what you would expect for a city hotel. Staff were friendly but not in your face, if you needed anything they were there but did not impose on you. Being able to leave cases there on day of departure was a bonus as our train wasn’t until later in the day. On the whole a good hotel for a couple of nights stay.

Beautiful hotel
We’ve stayed at the Maldron a few times now, it’s our go to for when we stay in Glasgow. Hotel is so lovely and the beds are so comfy. Showers are also great for when you need a sit down shower the morning after.
