Wonderful place, poor experience with property mgmt
This is a lovely appointed condo in the heart of Government Camp. The homeowner has taken extra care on the furnishings and extra conveniences in the home. We were very comfortable staying here. A few issues with the property mgmt (Vacasa). They stated in their email that if were checking in after 10 p.m. (we were) then we should contact them (we did). They told us it should not be an issue and to disregard the notice. Sure enough, we were not able to access the front door and were stuck outside while we tried to gain access. We think the homeowners have a lovely place but the property management could use improvement.

Golden Poles
Fantastic location, great layout and facilities. All good until we noticed all the cabinet handles in the kitchen were sticky and found some cups with coffee dried inside and down sides plus flatware had food residue on them. Figured the cleaning people didn’t check if dishwasher was run and put them away thinking they were clean. We will definitely stay here again but will check handles, dishes and flatware next time before we use them.

Great Spacious Condo. Beautiful. Couple of housekeeping issues
This is a wonderful spacious and comfortable condo in Govy and I would 100% stay again. A couple of things were frustrating but more to do with Vacasa housekeeping/management not the condo itself. - TV did not work properly/Remote was not functioning, no spare batteries if that was problem, just did not work - called about this, chatted with Vacasa no one even called back, we were hoping to have people over to watch Sounders game and could not. - Old coffee in coffee pot. No ground coffee available, had to go buy some, isn't it expected to have coffee in a vacation rental at least for first day? There were K-Cups for Keurig hidden in a box in cupboard but after setting up, the Keurig didn't operate. - We got there right at check in time but condo was not ready and we had to wait - And under bed in one of bedrooms was a bunch of stuff maybe from previous guests. Again, actual condo was fantastic.

Unfortunately the day we checked in, the utility company decided to cut all electricity in the county. We did not get to enjoy our stay as booked in this lovely condo.

I stayed at the Golden Poles last year and had a great experience, so this year I booked the same location and found this unit (I was traveling with a different group) and it was perfect. There are many sleeping options great for groups with kids. The kitchen is totally outfitted.

Amazing condo and location!
We needed a quick family vacation that was super easy to book and could fit our whole family comfortably all 7 of us. This place was it! Check in process was smooth, parking outside was easy. The kids loved the bunk beds in the living room. The condo was super quiet, spacious and very clean! We will definitely be back hopefully for snowboarding season.

Like living in a dorm - loud and rude next door neighbors
I'll start off by saying this condo is absolutely adorable, its decorated well, its comfortable and cozy and would be amazing if it weren't for the neighbors next door...its just a shame that they are ruining it. We rented this home for 7 nights so our daughter could attend a ski camp on Mt. Hood. We had early mornings - up at 4:45AM to get to the mountain by 6AM, hopeful to be asleep by 8:30PM each night so she had enough energy to train everyday. (She's 10, so still little). Our first night in the condo, we didn't get to sleep until after 1AM. The people living in unit 109 (next door) were screaming, partying, slamming doors, running up and down the stairs and hallway, pounding on things and blaring music. It was just awful. The next morning we found cigarette butts and french fries strewn all over the outside hallway and it smelled bad. I e-mailed the management company about everything the following day and they said they couldn't do anything about it because they didn't manage that unit. The next few days were more quiet (probably because they were all hung over), but still loud music until around 9 and they would smoke out on their balcony constantly, so we were not able to have our balcony windows open to let the cool breezes in because the smell would come straight into our condo. The noise, music, screaming and partying continued the last two nights we were there. I ended up going out into the hallway on the last night to ask them to turn down the music and they just ignored us, walked right past us and didn't even look at us when we tried to talk to them. My daughter was crying and it was anything but peaceful and relaxing. I contacted the management company again asking for a number for The Golden Poles Management and they had nothing to give me, and said I would need to call the local police - which, seemed excessive, so we had to deal with this awful partying yet again. Additionally, this unit is located next to a door to the outside and a gate that goes to the basement parking that is used constantly, the main bedroom is located on the end where the door is - its very loud when the gate and the door slam closed - so, even if the neighbors are quiet, you still have that door and gate to contend with. I'm sad to say that I will never ever rent this unit again (we come to Mt. Hood quite often too) unless the people in 109 have moved out. Its too bad because it really is a wonderful condo.

Reallly nice condo
The condo is nicer than the photos. The building seems to be almost finished and there were few people there although the weekend was definitely busier. The pool was closed and hopefully the dishwasher has been replaced by now. You can hear when people come in and out of the building and down the stairs but you get used to it after awhile. The porch was gorgeous and the grill worked well after we filled the gas tank. I would stay again. The only thing I didn’t really love was that when dealing w Vacasa, the property manager, it was always someone new. I had a few email exchanges always with a different person. It’s post Covid and a new rental and I think the kinks will work themselves out soon. It’s so great to be traveling again I really didn’t care but wanted to leave a review bc I rely on them so much. Thank you for sharing your place and having it be dog friendly!

Beautiful Home
This is the perfect getaway location. It was well stocked and equipped with anything you could need, incredibly clean and well maintained, very close to everything in Government Camp. The check in process isn’t very flexible, no accommodation for early check in requests which was a bit of a bummer.

Adorably chic and welcome.
The location and property were super convenient and close to hiking where we planned to be. The unit was immaculate and very comfortable; we found ourselves relaxing in no time. The property seems to be very new… it seemed like we were the only ones there. All the amenities worked perfectly, except the second evening, when WiFi was down for the rest of our stay. Not a super big deal, except we had planned to stream a movie by the fireplace in the evening and were not able to do so. We would come back in a heartbeat and bring our friends! For two people, the space was generous. Loved it.
