We were visiting family in a neighboring town for Thanksgiving. Upon arrival were given a trash bag with extra towels and toilet paper as we were told housekeeping was off the next day for the holiday. Understandable, so no problem with that. Got to our room and it truly decorated in a “fishing lodge” feel, with wood panel walls, 60’s looking bedding, and very sparse decor. Was very disappointed that they only provided 2 towels when we had booked the room with 4 people, but we had the extras in the “no housekeeping” trash bag, so, we could make do. The only issue with that turned out that on the day that housekeeping was back, they took our bag of extra items, and just left us with only two towels and one extra roll of tp. Beds were not made, linens not changed (by this point was our third day there), and it didn’t appear as though anything was done other than taking our four used towels and leaving us with two clean ones.
The lake view was nice, although really more of a boat ramp view, but still water, so I counted it. The whole area was very rustic and quiet, which was nice and appreciated. All in all, the stay was ok, however I imagine if we were bass fishers we may have appreciated it a bit more.
