The outside area including pool, tiki bar lounging areas are beautiful. The rooms need updating. The furniture is very worn and the room is worn. Also the rooms need chairs to sit in. There was 1 desk chair but the only other place to sit is on the bed which I find very uncomfortable. The service was mediocre at best. When I checked out the clerk asked how everything was and I responded so so. Her comment back was oh, sorry. She made it clear she did not want to be bothered with what was not good about our stay. I loved the outside area but everything else left a lot to be desired. Not sure I would want to stay here again, mainly because of the poor service.

During our recent vacation to the Florida Keys, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Amara Cay for two nights, and it truly became the highlight of our entire trip. The resort's ambiance was simply delightful, striking the perfect balance between a laid-back island vibe and luxurious amenities. The cuisine at the resort exceeded all of our expectations, with each meal being a delightful culinary experience. Moreover, the level of cleanliness at the resort was truly impeccable, adding to our overall comfort and enjoyment. One of the unexpected highlights of our stay was discovering a fantastic restaurant within walking distance of the resort, which added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed with our experience at Amara Cay and we can't thank the staff enough for providing us with such a wonderful and memorable experience.

Property is very well maintained. Service can be better. Also, most hotels can give you a late checkout, but they declined despite the facility not full . They let you stay in the resort until 4 pm , so that was a plus.

The resort was beautiful! Didn’t like that the pool always closed up early at dusk. When we got back from the beach & dinner we always wanted to swim, but it was never open. Should stay open till at least 11pm. I never used the pool. Our last night it was actually still open at 8:45, so my husband used it, I was already changed so i didn’t. A hot tub attached would’ve been nice. Not a real private beach as stated on website. It’s a ladder to get into the water which was full of seaweed. Very misleading. So we left every day to go to the beach come back to swim in a pool that was never open. No arcade as listed on the website, another misleading listing on the website. We were told they took it away to play outdoor games. Another thing we wanted to do after getting back for the night. The kitchen area was very dark, lighting wasn’t good. Only 1 light above the eating counter, no light above sink, microwave, fridge, coffe pot counter & area. 1 day our room didn’t get cleaned & some of the other days, they forgot kitchen towel & face wipes lotion bar soap. We never received any shampoo or conditioner bottles on the counter. We just kept using bathroom hand towels for the kitchen towel which never got replaced. We would’ve stayed at the hotel if there was a real beach there. So we really never got to enjoy the hotel at all.

Great stay!!! We had an oceanfront room that was beautiful!! Bottles of water from the desk upon arrival, staff friendly, rooms super clean and tiki bar was a plus!! Kayaks and bikes are free to use on the property. My boys loved that!! The free shuttle van the hotel provides is a huge bonus! You can use it within 4 miles to go anywhere and the driver Nick is awesome!!! One negative is that tiki bar kitchen closes at 10pm, which was a bummer because we were all hungry for something for a late night snack. We will definitely be back !!!!

El hotel no tiene suficientes sillas para la playa o la piscina especialmente durante los feriados vacacionales ademas el hotel ofrece su instalaciobes en resort pass y la piscina se llena demasiado lo que no es justo para los que pagan hospedaje. Las llaves de agua no funcionan estan rotas en el lavadero cono en la ducha. Y hay un olor como a colchon mojaso todo el tiempo en el cuarto.

A really wonderful resort with a lovely pool and tiki bar area. The staff were all very welcoming and the hotel was kept very clean. The rooms are large and clean, if slightly dated. Would definitely look to visit again.
