Overall fine experience for the price, finding the parking lot was not clear for first time visitor and had to pay extra park, check-in line was a little long

This hotels standard for clean is unacceptable and we won’t stay ever again. We booked this trip because we were attending an event in the area and didn’t want to drive back to the city after. When got to the room because we were running late we prepared to change and leave for the event. Around 1am we got back. Once we unwinded and went to get in bed we found what appeared to be blood droplets on the blanket and bodily fluids on the sheets. At 3am they offered to change our room. My husband said no because of the hour. We ended up sleeping on top of the bed in our clothes.
The location is superb for NYC adventures, easily accessible by train and ferry. Breakfast buffet, while plentiful with great views of NYC, is not very inviting or very good.
The property was beautiful and the area is pleasant with amazing views of NYC. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Easy to get to NYC. The only negative was the excessive taxes on the final bill which was unfortunate.
The property is right next to the waterway terminal. Easy to get to NYC quick and a pretty ride there and back.
The staff at the hotel were not friends or accommodating. I arrived 2 hours before check in and they wanted to charge me 55 more dollars to check in early. So I left my bags down stairs .. also may I mention I am a top tier Expedia memeber. The room was nice but the carpet was in need of being vacuumed.
The worst was the rooftop restaurant. Advertised as family friendly before 10 is NOT true. The music was blaring extremely bad words as soon as we walked in. The host and waitress were good but our waitress brought us the wrong bill for over 100 dollars more than ours. We were put on the third floor with no view .. bummer. It was the worst stay of our 7 day trip

The only thing I didn't like was having to go to the 14th floor to check in, then go back downstairs to get luggage, then back to the 11th floor to unload, then back downstairs to go park car, then back upstairs to room. Other than that, the view across the Hudson River to lower Manhattan were incredible!
Our original stay was fine but when we had to extend our stay we found maid service was sporadic even when requested. Nice breakfast but we found our selves on two mornings all being compressed into the waiting area as the breakfast area was going to be used later in the day.
Location was perfect, beds comfortable.
Great room. Wonderful view from roof top bar. Breakfast was great. But the best thing was the staff. They were so helpful and really were great to work with.
