Amazing staff and comfy rooms
Greeted by multiple employees although we arrived after midnight. Our initial booking was canceled by another hotel but was a blessing in disguise bc the Sonesta was wonderful !

DON'T BOOK UNTIL RENOVATION COMPLETE
We booked via hotels.com and there was no notice on the site or the hotel site that this hotel was under renovation. The entire ground floor was draped off, restaurants relocated to conference rooms. When we arrived the reception had us "sign off" on the fact that it was renovated, and given we had just gotten off a ten hour flight, felt that we had no choice as we just wanted to eat/sleep. We were on the 5th floor - and as soon as the elevator doors opened, we smelt something akin to moldy old carpets filled with stale smoke - in spite of the no smoking signs & fees. The room was dated, the bathroom door handle was hanging off, no USB ports for any devices, dirty coffee machine, tiny bath towels in a basic bathroom with dirty grout. Definitely time for a reno - but take it off the hotel market and do it all at once. All it has going for it right now is proximity to airport.

Sonesta Disaster
We booked this hotel because of the facilities advertised. The pool was closed but visible, dirty green water. Bar was a temporary one due to building work only offering bottled beer and glasses of wine. No spirits, cocktails etc. The staff were embarassed. The drinks very expensive. Building work was extensive. This hotel was misrepresented significantly and we feel a rebate would be appropriate in view of restricted facilities.

This hotel is undergoing a renovation, however it’s being done very cheaply. Just what you’d expect for an airport hotel. Food at the restaurant is mediocre and very overpriced, $28 for cheeseburger and fries.

We stayed on the 5th floor, and I don’t know if they had a flood or what, but the hallway was filled with fans, it was super musty, and smelled like carpet freshener to the point it made me and my friends noses burn. If I stepped into the hallway I got nauseous from the smell. Ended up leaving 6 hours after checking in because it just smelled gross and our room had a damp smell too.
