Amazing stay in a 3rd floor suite. Amenities that we were amazed at were the working fireplace, jacuzzi in room, comfy chairs in bedroom AND living room, great kitchenette with full sized fridge and huge private porch in rear. The not so good- the carpet needs replacing badly. The bathroom is huge and had 2 sinks but kind of dated. But 100% worth the price and considering another trip to just stay at this very cool place.

Everything was lovely - the jacuzzi in the room was such a luxury. Two things i’d change; Different pillows, they were so tiny like couch pillows. The other thing being the continental breakfast had almost non of what it stated on the hand out flier, which mentioned lots of things that we didn’t see.

Great place to stay
This is a great hotel for the price, especially it has a very good feel the young lady at the front desk was more than helpful and very inviting the room was very nice. Everything was great except for the mattress. I would’ve given five stars all the way around if the mattress was good, the linens were great. The pillows were great. The room was great. The service is great. The only reason it didn’t get a full 5 stars is because of the mattress, But it was still worth the money. It’s a great place.

Beautiful location!! One of the most beautiful mountain lodges in the United States! Rooms are beautiful, fantastic restaurant (certainly one of the best in Ashland, which has some great restaurants) and a wonderful bar. Rooms have hot tub! A nice deck and some of them have a working fireplace.

A place to lay your head
It was fine for a last minute accommodation for a single night. Room smelled funny and could only get one window open to air it out. The deadbolt was broken on the door of the room. They only gave 1 washcloth (for makeup), but the soap was liquid body wash...which kind of means that there should be enough washcloths so your guests don't have to share. Turned and left the breakfast buffet. Coffee pot empty, no employees around, found another coffee pot in the kitchen filled with luke warm coffee. Wasn't worth the continued search of an employee, so we went into town for hot coffee and breakfast. No one was there to check us out either.

We truly enjoyed our stay, dinner and the service with the wonderful music was amazing. Breakfast could have been better (understaffed). Biggest issue was how stained and dirty the carpeting was....everywhere! Everything else seemed clean but room, stair and hallway carpets were dingy and stained.

Callahan’s Lodge is generally a good place to stay. It’s not too far from Ashland and it’s a nice hotel in the mountains. The only downside was their continental breakfast. It was unattended and did not have the basic necessities. No napkins, plates, water and no one available to correct these issues. It ended our stay on a sour note.
