This property was not as expected and the charges were excessive. The bathroom was very old and the tub needed an extreme makeover. Had to shower in flipflops.

We recommend to stay here
Some of the online comments did worry me, but I book the hotel for 4 nights in December 2024 and we were absolutely happy. The location is excellent right at the beautiful beach and a bus stop in front of the building (bus #150 to the airport, trolley stop to South Beach). Some parts of the hotel were under construction but this did no bother us and our room had all the amenities we needed. We could use deckchairs and an umbrella for free and the hotel pool was open as well. The staff was very helpful and friendly, big thanks to Hector from the front desk.

It is NOT worth the cost!
My family stayed at this hotel for one night. It was below average for us and the website does not present what we experienced. We requested the room; we asked that our children's room be close by, but they put them down in the hall and around the corner on the other side of the hotel. Then we asked for a crib for the baby which was brought up with what was washed blood-stained blankets. We asked for an oceanfront room but were put in a corner where we could only see a small portion of the ocean through the cracks in the two buildings. When we confronted the concierge, they stated, "But you can still see the ocean, right?" I wanted to leave, but my husband kept reminding me it was only one night and we could stay until the morning. The tub was half cleaned and appeared very dirty and the carpet smelled like it was recently cleaned but it had that wet carpet smell even though it was dry. When we went to the beach in the morning, there were a lot of rocks in the sand and my daughter cut her foot. We were looking for a spot to have breakfast and the concierge stated, "I suggest you go to the restaurant downstairs because the food is much better". We took her suggestion and the food in the restaurant attached to the hotel was horrible. We paid the bill but did not eat the food. We ended up double-paying because we ended up going somewhere else to eat. It was just an all-around terrible experience. Thank God for the pizza place down the street!

Great location, friendly staff and clean room!
Overall I was happy with my stay - my room was great as it had been updated, modern and clean.Hotel parking was available for a fee but I felt it was reasonable for that area - However the hotel itself could use some serious updating - it is old and outdated - the lounge / lobby area didn't have a fresh smell - not sure if it was tobacco but it seemed stuffy. The front desk staff was excellent! friendly and very helpful. Beach access was easy -

While it’s partly refurbished, there’s still some room for improvement. Overall Clean, we were there for a very busy weekend and it’s in a very busy location which is a plus. Amazing location.

The lock on the adjoining room door was completely broken and they had no rooms to switch me to so they tried to repair it. It wasn’t very comforting. Additionally, the bathroom was extremely dirty with splatter on the wall near the toilet and the towels had long black hairs in them, even though they were “clean”.

As soon as the front door opened all you could smell was the musty basement smell. So run down. We were then informed that there was no restaurant. The pool and tiki bar were closed. Huge disappointment. Would never have booked had we known that. Extremely run down. Waste of our money for sure

Good pictures but…. We had 10 people staying and some of the AC worked and some didn’t - it had an odar which left a few of us with head aches. Felt dirty, but everyone was nice. Bar beneath the hotel was disgusting. Pool was dirty.
