Renovation NEEDED ASAP!!!
Years ago this was El Palacio to come back in my hometown and see how run down this places let's me know that whoever now is managing this property could careless. Thank God I booked through a third party for 27 a night because it's not worth more. Could use A LOT of renovation as there are several holes, cracks, terrible decor with the exception of the lobby couch furniture. From the outside looking in this hotel looks abandon. Honestly the condition of the room is old and run down but it was cleaned very nicely with no bad odor. Staff was friendly and no disturbances. Long story short this would always be my last resort if I needed to stay somewhere.

We checked in and went to dinner. Came back and walked unto a moldy, mildew, disgusting rug with stains everywhere, smelly, disgusting bed that had no matress covers just fitted sheet and to top it off a big rodent ran across . We checked out immediately and requesting our money back

Never had to ask for towels before and there were some cosmetic defects. No where to store anything like dresser etc unless you brought your own hangers. Had to ask for blankets. I guess people steal stuff over there. The pool I was little unsure off looked like the bottom was not pressure washed in some time betting spotty. Only one elevator worked and you had to press up even if you were going down. I did see a few bugs but not to major. There were people walking around smoking blunts which made you dizzy when you walked by them. Is an interesting place had some interesting deco type architecture.

I somewhat pride myself on being able to stay in low end hotels to save a couple of bucks. I’ve also slept in pretty rough conditions in Africa and Asia. This place was so dirty, moldy and unclean I walked into the room and walked out to find somewhere else to stay. I can’t believe I didn’t read the other reviews that clearly say this place is a disgusting dive. It’s shocking that it hasn’t been shut down.

Good from afar, far from good.
On the outside. This place looked good. Inside the rooms. Not good at all. Rooms smelled. Bathroom lights didn’t work until a saw an extension cord coming from under the sink that went under the beds and plug into a wall. This cannot be to code. WIFI never works. TV wasn’t connected to anything, but there was a tv. Microwave didn’t work. The carpet had mold around all the corners and the carpet also. The bed sheets had stains, and we had to go to the front desk for towels. We didn’t have any. We called front desk about bathroom lights and plugs not working and they said we will “try” to get someone to fix them. After five hours I found the illegal extension cord.

Avoid at All Costs – Unsafe and Disgusting! If I could give this place zero stars, I would. This hotel is an absolute nightmare and should be shut down immediately. When I arrived, the conditions were not only unsanitary but downright unsafe. The room was filthy, with visible dirt and grime everywhere, and the smell of mold and smoke was unbearable. It was nothing like what was shown online—complete false advertising. There were two other parties there at the same time, demanding refunds for the exact same reasons. Even one of the staff members admitted they would never stay at this hotel themselves. I refused to stay, and despite all this, the hotel and Expedia have both refused to refund my money. I truthfully will not trust booking through Expedia again after this experience. This place is a scam, and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Do not stay here!
