We were overall disappointed with the actuality of amenities at the Penguin hotel. The breakfast vouchers to attend a different hotels breakfast were confusing and misleading. When we did find the breakfast situation, everything was cold, both the food and plates/utensils were poorly stocked and it was clear the hotel guests were far inferior to those ordering off the main cafe menu. The Penguin hotel is conveniently located next to other great options and within walking distance to nearly anything you’d want on Ocean Drive and Miami Beach. Hopefully you don’t have too much to carry because you’ll need to haul your luggage a few blocks as there is no parking/cars allowed on the streets in close proximity to the hotel. Hopefully you’re not looking for ice from the ice machine either. There is one machine for the whole building and it doesn’t keep up. The “king” room we rented was small and the bed was a full bed, not a king. For what we paid for this room, we wouldn’t stay at this hotel again and would opt for spending our money on something that had amenities right in or near the hotel instead of confusing and misleading shared services agreements with other hotels.

We got the room at around 4 PM. The checkin process was very slow and the staff’s behavior is very rude The property is not great with respect to the cost and food and drink which was included in the resort fee was terrible. The location is very good

Good Location, our room was a little small for three adults - we had room 201 corner unit with two queen beds. Breakfast was abysmal. On the first day, the restaurant had no cups, plates, hot coffee, juice or utensils. Had to go to an outside restaurant for breakfast. Informed the front desk and I received a slip for breakfast at the sister hotel, President. No compensation was offered. Breakfast was a little better but the food was cold. The resort fee for three people of $49/day is very high and not worth it. Do your homework and look at other options

The room did not have a working tv remote, working internet for the tv, or a desk as advertised. Check-in was at 3:00 but the room was not available until 3:30. The breakfast was supposed to last until 10:30. At 9:30, there was very little food remaining.
