This is listed as a 4 star hotel. but in my opinion it barely qualifies as a 2star if that. It is very dated, has small rooms that have not been kept quite up-to-date. Location is the big plus and is its saving grace.

This is a very old hotel with dirty carpets, old and super noisy air conditioning. We had a very dark room, the window was overlooking a wall and basically you couldn’t notice whether it’s day or night. It was at least not so noisy.

Great room, friendly staff; only problem was only one elevator was working, so had to wait a bit. Was there on a weekend, and elevator was to be fixed the next day.

The location and staff were fantastic. Customer Service was outstanding. Five minute walk to Grand Central Station, one stop to Times Square. Central to all major sightseeing in Manhattan. But - the hotel needs an uplift. Bathrooms were remodeled but the rooms are dated. We had issues with the toilet and one room smelt like smoke. BUT - the staff accommodated us very quickly and were very attentive. Had an early check in and late check out (1PM). Elevator is super slow and there are not many plugs in the room. The room size was adequate but we didn't have much room (my wife and I) for open luggage or a place to sit comfortably. The best thing about this property is the staff and location. They were amazing.

An excellent hotel in midtown. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a very nice, well-appointed hotel a great, friendly staff. Loved the location which was steps away from Grand Central and other midtown destinations.
