This is a great little hotel in a nice area. The location is convenient to any spots you might want to visit in Manhattan. There's a nice coffee shop downstairs.

HGU was wonderful! Our college trips to NY always included staying at HGU. Love it! The cafe was really good, too. Highly recommend!

The room was as advertised, nice room and bathroom, comfy bed. Carpets had some stains but it’s normal. My biggest and only issue, staying on the second floor to the back of the hotel (207) there must be a laundry room above because it was nonstop all night sounds of washing machine thumping. It literally did not stop

Very nice hotel for the cost - a gem in midtown. The rooms were spacious but did not match the photos in terms of windows, no robes, and the lighting in the hallways and rooms was kinda dim. Overall, great value and great stay.

This hotel was clean, and staff was friendly….has a cafe, restaurant and bar on site which was so convenient, and was on the same block as the 33rd street subway stop (6 line). Close to many tourist areas and we felt safe!

It is an historic building that is well maintained and updated. Rooms are small but it is NYC and an older building which is status quo. It takes forever to get a car from the valet. The valet ticket says to allow 40 minutes. We didn't notice that at first and was late getting to our venue.
