Everything went smoothly, from check in to check out. Clean, comfortable hotel in a nice neighborhood, walking distance to Penn Station, MSG, Union Square, 34th Street ferry to Brooklyn, plus subway stop right outside the door. Staff consistently friendly, competent, professional. Thanks, everyone!

I have booked double bed room for a night through hotels.com. When booking it showed that city view high floor room. But when actually checking-in they gave second floor and they said double bed room only available in second floor only. So I felt it is misleading.

The only thing I did not like is the rate they gave me on Monday September 2nd I believe the rate after taxes was 167. Not bad for NYC on a Monday. However, Tuesday came and they almost doubled the rate to where I think I paid 348 after taxes I didn’t stay the following night however I was going to stay more than one night after they raise the rate like that. 348 should have been a weekend rate for Saturday or Friday night not a Tuesday. And there was no other reason then something about a hotel strike in the news that was it. For that I am not impressed in my opinion it was price gouging the following days hotel rates knowing some people will be forced to pay that.
