Christmas family getaway
The location is amazing. We were there for Christmas and it is close by to everything. The lobby and courtyard with their Christmas decor is just perfect. I have been to this hotel 4 times and I have to say it really needs a revamp. The rooms are outdated...they need to refresh them and feel more welcoming.

Perfect location to all the places we wanted to go. The hotel was so beautifully decorated for Christmas. They had the sweetest touches foe the kids. Santa letters and a response delivered to our room. The only down side was the elevator situation. Only half of them were working so going down took 20 minutes. It was nearly impossible to catch an elevator that wasn’t full to capacity. Another incident we had with house keeping, they took my daughters Christmas blanket. I called before checking out 2 weeks ago. They told me they would call me back with an update. To this day no one has called me back. But other than those incidents the place is convenient and beautiful inside.

Beautiful hotel built from a gilded age mansion. Great staff, clean rooms, fantastic location! Only thing is we stayed during Christmas, so very busy. I think they should adopt the same rules at the Plaza, no one inside other than hotel guests. Way too many "non-guests" inside jamming up the place taking pics.

Great location, beautiful grounds for the holidays. Tremendous amount of people though in and out looking at the tree and decorations. Extremely long lines for check in. For the amount of money paid, no nightly water in room and our room was missed for cleaning one day. Had to call multiple times to get pillows and blankets for the pull out couch and extra towels as we had 4 people in a room. During check in, no explanation of hotel, services or area. Just given key cards. I had to ask them to point me in the right direction to get to room. Again nothing big but the amount of money spent per night here I would have expected better service. The guys helping in and out of building and luggage were the best as well as the service in the coffee/ bakery shop.

Not only is the property outstanding, but the staff is simply BEYOND amazing! The Doorman George, who helped us with our bags, gave us a tour, took our pictures by the tree and helped us get a driver to the airport when our uber was stuck in traffic! Truly 10 out of 10 - can't wait to go back!
