We paid over $800 for a one night stay on a Wednesday night. The bedroom came with minimal pillows, so we requested pillows be brought to the room. Two large pillows were brought to the room, but they had a terrible smell to them. More importantly, we left our room for the evening at approximately 5pm until midnight, at some point during that time period someone went into our room and stole three items from the room. The door was secure when we left (we made sure) and was slightly ajar when we got back, and noticed the next morning before we left three items that were missing. Also, at night while we were out my cousin (who is the person that my Riu account it tied to - he reccomended us) recieved a text message from a recycled NYC phone number saying “its ant call me” (my names anthony) and he had 6 missed calls from the number. At this point we are feeling very uneasy that staff (or a staff member) at this location was trying to call and scam my cousin - who’s information they got from our riu accounts that are linked - and also went in our room when they saw us leave the hotel wearing our mets gear (to go to the mets game) to steal items. Beware***

Weekend in NYC
We came in on a friday morning. Check in was simple and quick. Our room was ready early. Had trouble figuring out lighting and temperature control. Could use more drawer space. Chair and beds were comfortable. Cleaning service was exceptional and all staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffett was good and hotel was very nice. Would recommend to others. Thank you

This location is set perfectly in Times Square with multiple restaurants, bars and stores in short walking distances. The morning breakfast buffet is excellent that is included in your stay. Staff are very nice, and there is a great Irish pub right across the street.

Very close to shopping and restaurants. Loved the breakfast. Thank you for celebrating my birthday. Sitting outside in the little area they have was so noisy with trucks loading the laundry. But loved everything else about our visit.

great stay at Riu Plaza Manhattan Times Square
We had a comfortable stay at this hotel. Breakfast was well organised despite the huge number of people needing breakfast. The member of staff who greeted you when the lift arrived at the floor for breakfast was always so cheery and friendly. After two days he remembered our floor number which was very impressive. We never had to wait more than 20 minutes in the line for breakfast. Only complaint is there is no coffee machine in the room.

Great room - very clean. Friendly staff and good security. A super convenient location if you want to be in the heart of times square and a short walk to all of the Broadway theaters and other common stops like Rockefeller Plaza, St. Andrews, and 5th Avenue shopping. The trade off of being right in Times Square is that it can be a madhouse when you’re coming and going, since you have to walk through the crowds and bustle of Times Square every time you’re going out anywhere, but we found the convenience to be well worth it. Would definitely stay here again.
