Unexpectedly disappointing . This property isnt deserving of its Expedia ranking. Safety is not great - no keycard elevator/room entry; gas cooker right beside bed . Hygiene really substandard . After a tepid bath..the first towel off the pile stank so badly & the linoleum floor in bedroom was sticky . Looks charming. It is not.

Excellent location, room/beds very comfortable and all staff very helpful and pleasant. We hit whilst redecoration of the lobby and stairs were being redecorated, which was not a problem to us. Unfortunately one of the two lifts was out of action and so getting to and from room was a bit hit and miss with some long waits. Again, not a serious problem, but just a little irritating at times. Overall, a place to me commended and recommended.

The most convenient location near Times Square but off the busiest streets. I felt safe. Walked back to room around 11 pm. Not many people on the street by the hotel so I just walked close to another group. AC worked great and furnishings were fine. A little dark inside and bathroom is tiny but overall it was great. Kitchen is a wonderful bonus if you have kids.
