Great staff (especially the night staff and our check in lady) and early check in too. It was a reasonable stay, especially for the price with it being quite central. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on it. The bed was comfortable. The room was tiny and a few plug sockets didn’t work but this didn’t disturb us too much. The area surrounding the hotel was quite dodgy but this is typical for NYC. We had difficulty using the elevators as they were constantly used and went to different floors but I’m not sure how this could be improved. The housekeeping team really did struggle with having to crate all the linen and items down whilst other guests were trying to get to their rooms. The fitness suite was great and was very clean and lots of towels etc.

Property was safe and staff was great. Very close to many places (10-15 minute walk from Times Square, Brant Park, Los Tacos No.1). Felt safe here as a solo, female traveler. If you’re sensitive to noise, this might be an issue for you here. You can hear cars and people honking horn. For me, it was fine. Room is small but I expected that. The shower wall was dirty. It had hair shavings. Other than that, overall it was a good stay. Would stay here again in the future.

We had a great stay at the Double Tree. The location was perfect for all of the activities that we had planned. Penn Station subway is just one block away, so it was so convenient. The hotel itself is quite nice, and we enjoyed the roof top bar. Our room was very tiny, but always very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a good hotel for the price. The lobby was small, I generally like a bigger hotel lobby and bar. The rooftop was cool but spendy. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Little bit of sketchy activity on the street but it’s to be expected for the area.

The woman checking us in was absolutely horrible and intentionally unhelpful. Luckily she passed us over to a coworker who was an absolute delight. He made my family feel invited and welcome which turned everything around. The rest of the stay was great

The primary draw for this place is location: it's only three blocks from Penn Station so it's very convenient to all forms of transit. The rooms are very small but pretty comfortable and the wifi is reliable. It's fine for a single person - two would be cramped and three pretty much impossible.
