Tanika and Violet working the front desk when we arrived were excellent. In all our stays at othet hotels, we have never experienced two friendly, knowledgeable and professional employees ever. Definitely keepers. The views fron the 28th floor and the Vue bar were fantastic.

This hotel is ideally located 2 blocks from Madison Square Garden, and convenient to Time Square. The room, though clean and tidy, was incredibly tiny. There wasn't room for even a small desk, nor was the sink countertop adequate to place our toiletry items on. The highlight was actually the front desk employees who were all couteous, friendly and most helpful. They provided us with a map & information about places to eat. They even arranged a Lyft ride that was waiting for us. Buyer beware for the rooftop bar. Drinks are small and are $25.00 plus tax and tip.

This was my second time staying here. Love the convenience to the train station, subways and sites. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Rooftop bar is great!

Decent Stay During NYCC

We had a staycation during NYCC, given the capacity of the convention we understood that an earlier check-in may not have been possible. The Doubletree team was very welcoming, and courteous to assist us with baggage storage and changing facilities. The room was small in general compared to Moxy or Stewart Hotel, we booked a King room.

The front desk staff were exceptional, very friendly, cool, calm and collected even though lots of arriving guests and phones constantly ringing made for a stressful situation. They were very helpful in printing an important document for me and some friends staying at this hotel as well. My room was small but very comfortable and the bathroom was modern with all amenities.

Great bed, pillows, and very nice bathroom. Room a bit to small, had to ask for a luggage rack, wich came promply, people on the service desk and doormans very polite and providing real good service, allways smiling and easy to talk to.

Awful Reception! Added two room charges for water we had not consumed. Terrible attitude from the many people I had to speak to on the phone to get refunds. Can’t help but think it’s standard practice…add a few charges and hope customers don’t realise. If you do stay, make sure you double check all charges.

we booked a king room with empire state view and the room was much smaller than expected. barely any room to walk around and couldn’t even open our suitcase. but the view was great!! room and bathroom could have been a little cleaner but overall decent room. great location near penn station and a ten minute walk to times square. very noisy and touristy tho but that’s new york baby! rooftop bar was tiny and a little disappointing but i did get proposed to up there so it will be a memory forever! would book again but maybe a different room, not sure the view was worth the upcharge with how tiny the room was. staff was responsive and kind!

Lobby was a mess, reception desk was grimy, windows sheers very dusty. No place to sit. Could not enjoy the outdoor terrace as the staff kept turning on the sprinklers making enduring soaking wet. Did not get the handicapped room i requested. Basically it sucked. One equates a certain level of excellence with Hilton. This was not up to it
