Rooms need to be updated and bathrooms. Beds were very uncomfortable. But the view was amazing. And they still have metal keys for rooms?! Should upgrade to keyless entry.

This vintage seaside hotel is a jewel. Old Maine charm oozes everywhere! If you are looking for a vacation getaway that gives you authentic area feels, this is absolutely your place. The rooms were comfortable - be sure to ask for a water view! These rooms have a small deck with lovely chairs to watch the boats come down the harbor. They don’t have a free breakfast, but they do have a really lovely coffee bar in the morning where you can fix yourself a pumpkin latte and enjoy the brew on their waterfront porch. There are a lot of restaurants to choose from in this area, but be sure to have dinner or lunch at the hotel at least once. The venue is perfect, the food was top notch and the bartender makes a mean painkiller! Our family was very glad that we chanced upon this gem for our stay at Boothbay Harbor.

Great location, needs some TLC.

We loved the location, being down on the water and close to everything was great. The young lady who checked us in wasn’t rude but certainly wasn’t overly helpful. I went back down to the desk to get clarification on something and another employee was there along with the one who checked us in. The other employee was much more engaging & helpful. The hotel itself is old and in need of some updating. The bathroom in our room had been partially redone. New shiplap was on the walls but had not been painted, not sure if that was on purpose. No hooks or towel bar in bathroom. The new mirror and sink in bathroom were great. The actual bedroom was huge and the outside balcony was also large. The bedroom really needed some updating. All and all we enjoyed our stay. I hope that by our bathroom being updated that means they are going to do some additional updating on the rooms. It is a great location and we really enjoyed our time in Boothbay.

A great property in the perfect location. The view from our room was beautiful and the property is very convenient to all the major attractions, shops and restaurants. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The only negative for me was that the bathroom was very small, making hard for me to function, but overall not a big issue.
