Check in was a challenge. There is a key pad lock and also a door knob. I was given the code for the key pad, but someone locked the knob. I texted the property manager and fortunately they responded quickly with the code for another lockbox that had the knob key. There is a garage, but no fob, so the only way to get in, is to get out of the car, go into the condo, grab the garage door key to enter the garage from inside, open the garage door the drive your vehicle into the garage. Kind of a pain. Attempted to close the garage door with but it wouldn't close. As soon as the door touched the floor, it would automatically open up. I made sure there was nothing blocking the infra-red sensors but couldn't fix it. Finally just disconnected the door from the motor and closed manually. The balcony still is closed off with "crime scene tape". Previous reviews show this has been a problem for a couple of years. Probably time to get this fixed. The pots and pans are well past their prime. There is no more teflon on the non-stick so be sure to bring your own can of PAM.The lighting is very poor in the upstairs bedroom. Just one little lamp with a broken lampshade. Also had burnt out bulbs in the bathroom with no replacements. Nice location but we ended up leaving early because the ski conditions were terrible.

Renters beware
One of the bedrooms had caution tape on the door that said "Please do not enter deck area is unsafe and under construction. We reported it to Vasca property management and they said the would notify the local manager. Nobody came or called. Tried it Vasca again two more times and nothing happen. If asked if there was a local number we can call and they said no. Ended up sleeping in that room because we needed the 4 bedrooms we were promised. If you rent from these people you might be stuck with no help. Just promises.

Lovely cozy place right near Alpine Meadows
Highlights: well equipped kitchen, garage parking, very effective pellet stove. We had a small group, But the place has 4 rooms and could easily accommodate a couple of families of 4. We’d definitely stay again.

Pet friendly but . . .
Good location. Kitchen & baths were clean but LR carpet was dirty, had pet stains and it needed vacuuming upon arrival. Cob webs and dust in LR. No welcome book or info on tv or internet. Had to figure out ourselves. Good internet but no cable tv. Closets full of winter bedding, not much room for guest clothes. No screen on LR sliding door.

A bit disappointed
Pros: This is a great location for a summer stay in the Lake Tahoe area. Having all king and queen size beds was great for 4 senior couples. 3 full bathrooms is a plus. Nice to have a private garage and plenty of additional outside parking. Cons: The condo is tired and outdated so it was difficult to tell how clean things were. The balcony off the living room and master bedroom is VERY UNSAFE!! The wooden deck is in bad shape and the iron railing wobbles. If someone were to trip and fall against that railing it would give way and they would fall more than 2 stories. This unit should not be rented until this is fixed. Furnishings were adequate but tired. The doors and drawer fronts in the kitchen are missing paint. The closets in the main floor bedrooms are so full of "stuff" that there is no room to hang clothes. The tv only got 1 channel that cut in and out due to poor reception. We spoke with the owner and he told us that it's an old system and the provider isn't interested in fixing the issues. We had to call the owner again to find out how to turn on the ceiling fan in the living room (had to plug it in behind the sofa). Blinds in one of the downstairs bedroom didn't function so couldn't be opened. Overall, this unit could use a good refreshing (paint, carpet cleaning, etc.) Flannel sheets are great in the winter but not when it's hot in the summer.

Great condo close to the hill
We skied in and out of this compact condo. Great but small kitchen, fit our family of 7 without issue.

Great Stay
Really enjoyed our time here. Location was incredible, and no internet was actually very nice, got to engage/spend time with people without them staring at their phones. We did have a small issue with heating. The unit was very cold, and the baseboard heaters were slow to warm the rooms. The fireplace stove was also a bit finicky and required some experimentation to work efficiently--we smoked out the upstairs a couple of times trying to figure out the amount of pellets to put in (there weren't really any directions around, I had to call the property owner). Also, there is awful cell service in the area so coordination was a bit difficult without WiFi. All in all had a good time and would stay again in the future.
