Disappointing stay, unclean and poor management company
Whilst Encore by Reunion is a lovely clean development within a good location for Disney, unfortunately this property is looking very tired and not very well looked after at all. This is further compromised by the current management company who don’t support the property or guests.
First impressions of the house are good. It has large rooms, more than enough space for 10 people and the facilities within the home are great. The reality however is the house really is very dirty. Thick dust on fans, thick dust / grease on lighting, millipedes and cockroaches in the kitchen area. Sinks that are blocked and showers with significant amount of mould around the show trays. Carpets are all heavily stained upstairs. At the top of the stairs there is contact information for the management company. We had issues with the Dishwashers that were constantly not working (tripping the main fuse) and our pool has emptied over 1 foot overnight. On calling the company listed they said they were not responsible for the property. We then contacted Erika who had the “new” management company contact us. Apparently the new management company had changed back in June so why was there still emergency contact details for the old one listed?
We spoke with someone at the management company who promised to fix the issues. 2 Days went by and then we were told that the dishwashers had been fixed but it wouldn’t be possible to fix the pool as a part needed to be ordered. We were asked to put the garden hose into the pool to top it up. We did so, however the next day the pool had leaked down again. We kept on chasing the property management company for another whole week and didn’t get a single reply to WhatsApp messages about the pool. When we left the property the leak had still not been fixed and the pool was really unusable and not safe for the final week of our stay. This made for extremely disappointed children / adults as we all wanted to be able to use the pool that we’d paid for. During this time the TV also stopped working so all we could watch was YouTube via the TV.
When we returned home we made contact with Erika and explained all of our issues. We provided photos showing the evidence of pool leak, the cleanliness of the house and other issues and we were offered a minimal partial refund. However having paid a significant amount to rent this property I certainly couldn’t recommend it to anyone else. Overall our holiday was ruined by our choice of property
