The hotel room was a little dated, but overall it was fine. I was a little worried before we got there as there were reviews mentioning cockroaches etc, but we found the room to be very clean. The staff were nice and friendly. The pool area was clean and had free towels etc. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, but there appeared to be a good selection. There was an IHOP within 10 min walk. It was easy to get to Universal etc. The main restaurant only opens Thursday to Sunday, so we had to reschedule some things to make use of the VIP discount we got from booking with Expedia (discounted meal). It was very nice though. Would certainly stay again, especially given the price.

Although the hotel has the style and decor of the 70s/80s the room was clean and well serviced every day. Towels and linen were clean although larger towels were a little small. It is great value for money and you get what you pay for. The AC unit in the room is a little noisy and depending on where your room is located, you can hear the traffic from the nearby highway. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There is a nearby Walgreens (24 hour convenience store) and plenty of dining choices nearby to the hotel. The hotel also offers a free shuttle bus to Universal. Overall, great stay for anyone looking for a property on a budget.

The property is very nice. The staff is friendly. I just wish that the double bedrooms were 2 queens instead of 2 double beds. Considering me, my girlfriend are bigger people. It would have been more convenient, considering we were staying for people to a room

Desree - awesome hotel staff!
We spent the night on (11/11) just to get a nights sleep before checking into a resort hotel in the morning. The only reason I'm rating this is because of the wonderful woman working the check-in - Desree? (Apologies if spelt incorrectly) She was the only one working the counter and kept such a positive, friendly attitude despite what might of been stressful for others in her position working solo. When it was our turn to check-in her kind and resourceful personality kept on giving. She made small jokes with us and was entertaining in a professional manner. Clearly it was a little understaffed but you didn't just wait around bored. Desree had such an upbeat vibe with the customers ahead that it was not just a stale quiet wait time. Sweetheart! The Rose Inn is grateful such an enthusiastic and personable employee. Location is in walking distance of restaurants and a mini golf that of course has a live gator theme. I would stay again.

Excellent value for money. Rooms are very big which is good. Shower water pressure is a bit low but works. Will definitely stay here again especially if you are visiting Universal Theme Parks or just International Drive.

Check in went smooth. Upon getting to our room, we opened the door and a staff member was sitting at the desk on their phone. Said he was finishing a service call for microwave. Half hour later, someone just walked into the room without knocking. Didn’t acknowledge or apologize. Just looked at the microwave and left. Didn’t like that the sign denying room service said that staff can enter the room regardless of the do not disturb sign. We will not be staying at this location again.

I was in town for a conference. The convenience store in the lobby is well stocked with essentials. The restaurants attached to the hotel are better than average. The housekeeping staff was outstanding and made sure that the room was turned over and cleaned every day.
