This is our fourth stay at Long Beach, we love coming here for the amenities, location, and the complex itself. And even though we had a few issues which I’ll outline below, we will for certain be returning in the future.
This was our first time in tower 1. The last few times in tower 4 where we usually stay, the cleaning hasn’t been that great. The cleaning this time was better, however still not adequate considering the things going on right now, and the price for renting. To begin with, I will say, the linens, most of the furniture, and most dishes were clean, however the floors, bathrooms, mirror in the dining area and appliances were filthy. When we walked in we immediately smelled mildew, and saw water on the kitchen floor, we then discovered that was due to an issue with the kitchen sink plumbing. Inside the kitchen sink cabinet, the drain had been leaking into a container that was overflowing for some time it. We drained the bucket which had putrid water and grease in it from the dishwasher draining, we called maintenance twice, and never once got a response. Anytime the dishwasher was ran, or the sink used, we would have to dump this bucket or else it would overflow. To me, this shouldn’t be something a visitor should have to do, or worry about, however, if we didn’t drain it, there would be a sopping mess all over the floor. Again, this is a maintenance/facility issue, and not an owner issue.
Nonetheless, besides those issues, the unit was comfortable and we had a very great time. The couches and chairs were very comfortable, and of course, the location is perfect for our family. I think if the owners of Long Beach got together and contracted a better cleaning and maintenance service, it would greatly enhance an already great location. Thanks again.
