The place is new and quiet, with responsive staff. But our forst room was on the 4th floor under the HVAC unit. Very loud constant rumbling. They moved us to a 3rd floor room with a window that wouldn't close. It was 48 degrees outside at night, so we moved to a 2nd floor room, which was fine. We got breakfast vouchers for the inconvenience of moving twice. They gave us a microwave when I asked for it, but I would prefer the microwave to simply come with the room. The rooms could use another table or desk. The windows do open, which is great. The toilets have crazy seat heaters and bidets on the seats. Very Japanese. Ok. I am allergic to shellfish, and the restaurant gave off strong fishy smells at dinnertime, so I was afraid to enter the restaurant. I would stay there again, but not on the 4th floor under the HVAC unit.

Piece of A Japanese Ryokan in Oregon

If you want a Japanese Inn (ryokan) experience in thr US, this is the closest you'll get. As a frequent traveler to Japan, Cedarpoint brings to you Japanese asthetics, an onsen-style bath, bidets in every room, and many Japanese details everywhere you look. It's not perfectly representing a ryokan, but as close as you'll get in the US

Best hotel stay here always! Needs room service

George was great as were the Japanese employees in training. I will always will stay here. LOVE IT! Please have a large notification in the rooms that say, "No Room service, you may pick it up. The restaurant closes at 10pm but kitchen stops cooking at 9:30p. Please call the front desk at +1 (503) 521-7678, Thank you" I spent over an hour looking for room service and the front desk phone number. When I finally found the number and called at 9:29pm. They said we don't deliver but took to pick up...but the kitchen just closed at 9:30 pm. I just finished a shower and was down for the night but wanted food but didn't want to gonout
