Great place great staff and while we were there the pub downstairs had terrific live music. Very reasonably priced given the location in the heart of Portree.

It is a great base for starting your Skye adventure. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are clean and comfortable (not fancy, but all you need for a night). Nice bar, nice hot breakfast (only goes til 9am though). You can walk to everything in Portree. Be aware there is no elevator and you have to park about 1/4 mile away. But all in all, recommend and would stay again!

The worst thing is we checked in at 10pm and still the room was not cleaned yet. Then they did a quick room service and I highly doubt the cleanliness. No noise-proof. The door lock is broken. Terrible place.

Overnight Stay Tongadale Hotel
Enjoyed our overnight stay at the Tongadale Hotel. Second visit and going back in September. Had a meal in the restaurant, menu had a good selection, was freshly prepared and reasonably priced. Rooms clean and fresh. Breakfast could have been warmer but again good selection to choose from. Overall good value.

Loved it!
Breakfast and restaurant food was fabulous, staff were fabulous. Just pay overnight parking only 5 minutes walk away. It’s summer, our room was quite warm but I removed the doona from the cover and left the window open. Being above a pub on a Saturday night I thought it would be noisy but we didn’t have any issue. I can’t wait to go back.

Very central in Portree. Comfortable, if a little dated in its decor. All the staff were very friendly and worked hard to help us when needed. Breakfast below average.
