Very convenient for my purposes e.g. visiting family in Twyford. It doesn't pretend to be something it isn't and this is reflected in the prices. That said it has everything you'll need, it all works and the food and drinks pub prices and quality.

It was fairly clean. However. Peeling paint, chipped and stained furniture, and a restaurant that makes Wetherspoons look like a 5 star establishment means we won't be back.

There are no frills at the Wee Waif, however this is the 2nd time I've used it as a journey breaker heading west. The bar food, Sports TV and free WiFi give me all I need for a one-night stopover. Will definitely use again.

A nice place with comfortable beds. The decor was a little dated and there were a few marks on the walls but it was very clean. Staff were friendly. The room was very spacious and was great value for money.

Easy to get to location new M4 and Reading
I needed to find a location on the outskirts of Reading and easy access to the M4. The Wee Waif has a good sizes car park and restaurant with a good selection of food.

The property is located not too far from Heathrow which makes it handy to get clear of the heavy traffic. The reception was genuinely pleasant, courteous and professional. For the fees paid to stay it’s extremely reasonable, the carpet in our room needs attention but other than that very good value.

Good service but bedrooms need refurbishment
Stayed in Room 14 for one night. Room very tired - headboard peeling in flakes onto pillows, furniture shoddy & worn. Toilet roll with 4 sheets left folded at end on holder to look nice in en-suite. Room in desperate need of refurbishment. Staff however were very friendly, courteous & professional. Nice meal/drinks at reasonable price in Restaurant. Price for room also reasonable. Would stay again but only for night or two.

The shower was out of order, the sink was almost falling off the wall, and the walls were in a state of disrepair. Unfortunately, the staff were mainly at the pub, which is very nice, they were too busy to attend to guests at the reception at all times.
