Wonderful location, lovely hotel
The location right on Swansea Beach was perfect in December and I am sure it will be even better in the summer. The hotel has all the facilities you would expect from a Marriott and the staff were lovely - especially the lovely lady who seats you for breakfast! My only warning would be there was an extra £10 charge for parking added which I was not expecting. You would struggle to find cheaper in that location, I imagine, but I just was not expecting it.

Check in was good. Room was ok but I kept stubbing my toe on the black step going from the dark room entrance into the bathroom. Evening meal was an unfunny joke - they had a fault with the extractor fan which meant that they were limited on what food they could produce. It would of been nice to be informed of this when I checked in (5pm) so I could of made other arrangements. The worse bit was that they snuck on a £5 service charge to walk a couple of cold starters 20 foot across an empty restaurant. I informed them when paying the bill that because of my visual impairment I could not read the bill and they didn't offer to go through it for me. Do they not pay their staff minimum wage.

I cannot thank or praise the Hotel and staff enough. We have just returned home after another stay at the hotel for our childrens birthday weekend. This is the 5th year in a row Troy now 12 and Mila now 7 have chosen a stay at the hotel over a birthday party. Our room was amazing and dressed for the birthday celebration. We were totally blown away with the cake, presents,cards and room decoration! Total vip treatment. Bruno ( front desk reception) and Lynne ( cast iron restaraunt) Could not have done more to make us more welcome and feel like super stars! The location is perfect for a family with access to the marina, beautiful promenade,winter wonderland and the bustling town centre. The Delta Marriott in Swansea will make you feel like you are visiting a family home! Amazing weekend and could not have picked a more perfect venue to celebrate Troy and Milas birthday. 5 years on they are still chosing to stay at this hotel.... I hope they pick it next year! Feiendly staff especially at breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Room had been refurbished since our last visit but rest of hotel is showing it's age. Focus needed on tidiness of outside areas. There was an empty beer can on the grass that remained there for the 4 days (3 nights) of our stay.

Pretty decent.
Pleasantly surprised.. the photos of the modern tower are an mis-sell, but overall the room was comfortable and bathroom clean. Water filling station was a nice touch and the parking was value and convenient for Swansea. Double beds could be a lot bigger….
