Very good

We were welcomed on arrival & treated to x2 small bottles of Prosecco as it was my birthday. The room was comfortable & staff were friendly, accommodating & provided good advice re getting to nearby StoneHenge for the Winter Solstice. Thankyou !
The place was dirty and in need of renovation, nothing worked - holes in walls, doors, cable ties holding the shower up. You can hear everything from the other rooms. We never usually complain but for £77 a night we think its only fair to let people know what to expect.
We stayed for one night.
There were 2 very large dogs (huskies?) laying across the main doorway to reception which had to be navigated to get in. The receptionist gave us the impression that this was a doggie hotel first and foremost, but did offer to move them out of the way if they became a nuisance.
The room was a good size and had a fun element to it however,
I found a bag of rubbish tied in a carrier behind the sofa (which was very uncomfortable to sit on). The mattress was made of foam and didn't have a protector on it. The throw on the bed had stains on it. The bath was good and the water was hot. Watching TV in the bath was a new experience! Sadly the candle holders were empty!
Breakfast was good, staff were nice. Parking was good.
Check in was easy and the staff were very cheerful and up beat and couldnt help you enough .

Dog friendly hotel
Weird hotel, room looked suitable for filming budget movies with 2 chandeliers and interesting artwork.
Wasn't particularly clean, there were a large number of fruit flies in the room.
Hotel manager was really nice, very dog friendly.
Food was ok. Hotel was not expensive.
Wasn't bad but i don't think I'd stay here again

Amazing find and excellent staff. Would definitely stay again. Love the dogs and the friendly welcoming abroad to guests.
Very friendly staff. Nothing too much trouble. Large Comfortable room with TV, kettle and a good choice of tea, coffee, whole or semi skimmed milk and a pack of biscuits too! Our room the deco was a bit tired. lovely breakfast and good parking very good value Thank you
While the staff were welcoming and a good breakfast was provided, the overall ambience of the place is seriously lacking and the hotel is in need of a makeover. We arrived in the evening and almost missed the turning as the signage wasn't lit, neither was the car park. We were hoping for a drink in a cosy bar but found the whole of the dining areas and bar completely empty of people, with no curtains on windows. The whole place seemed furnished as a wedding venue and what we thought sounded like a warm and cosy hotel just didn't deliver.

It’s a great option for passing by travelers.
Our bed was noisy and so were the doors.
Breakfast was wonderful!
Large hotel with large free parking area. Pub and restaurant had little character and appeared set up with weddings in mind. Room was large and comfortable. Only had breakfast at the hotel.
Would never stay there again. Needs a good clean. Dogs laying in way all the time. Staff to busy on there phone to welcome you or say goodbye on check out. Need lots of money to spent on it. Breakfast room has shower curtains to cut room off. Food was horrible and very cheap
Simple and efficient
Service was good
Staff very helpful

2/10 Terrible

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Very old, extremely sad and dilapidated accommodations throughout.
Pervasive aroma of wet dog.
Shower was an ancient slippy, boiling hot dangerous death trap.
Bonus: Was also attacked by their giant, free roaming angry dogs inside an empty reception space... yep, not at all terrifying.
Owners offered Prosecco, and promised the dog would receive more training.
We refused their offer of cheap fizzy wine, but did encourage the owners to pursue basic hospitality training options — for all involved.
Owners ought strongly consider reopening as a kennel — it would do really well!
Hard pass for humans.
