Loved the service. The front door is locked at all times which helps feeling more safe. Lots of places to eat in the area. The rooms are older but well kept and clean! Would recommend

The hotel was okay. I’ve stayed at hotels that were old before, but this actually felt like it needed a few upgrades. Faucet water pressure was very bad. I had to flush 3-4 times since the drainage was bad. That was just from doing number 1.

Great hotel. Great location.
Great staff. Building showing its age a bit but that is fine. Great check in gift (wine, etc). Held our luggage on either side of our stay. The hotel did not seem that busy, but it should be. Large suites for the same price as double beds with no ac in rougher neighbourhoods. Close to the trolley, the bart, muni, etc. Key card access and not much activity from unhoused or those suffering from addiction within the immediate vicinity. Would stay here again for sure.

The location was very convenient for public transportation, cable car and private one day tour pick up site. However, the location was also close to sketchy area. You have to be careful of what direction you walk to. The staff is friendly. The lobby looked ok but the room we had was so outdated. I felt like living in an old NYC apartment. The room space was tiny. The faucet for cold water didn’t work properly. The window blind couldn't come down easily. The hotel's front door was locked for safety. You would need your room card to open. I felt safe about it. But our cards didn’t work most of the time. It had 24/7 front desk, so the staff saw us and opened the door. The hotel had filtered water fountain. It didn't have amenities like gym and laundry. Dry clean service was available though.

Classic older hotel with great amenities. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Easy walking distance to varied restaurants, China Town,Trader Joes, BART and streetcars. Room was comfortable, shower was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again

The hotel lobby was nice, but our room was near the elevator so the noise kept us awake. The room we had was tiny but cozy enough for 2 of us. The cleaner they used had a strong smell, I wondered if it was cat urine on the carpets until I saw the person cleaning and could smell it. It gave me such a headache . I was going to tell the peraon this morning but he didnt seem to care to talk and I was so tired i just wanted to check out and go. The front deso staff yesterday were friendly. The area around the hotel is sketchy but the hotel locks the front door so that was great. Parking is not included, it cost 65/day and they take it offsite so it takes about 25 minutes for your car.

We loved our stay at Hotel Abri. It is a very basic small hotel in an evidentially historic building. The staff were lovely. I would have given it 4 stars because the TVs were quite glitchy and one of the blackout curtains was nearly impossible to close. I upgraded to 5 stars though because when we let the hotel know, they reached out to a technician right away. There is a mini fridge that I had to check daily to make sure it stayed on. The Walgreens around the corner has a shocking great snack and lunch selection. I’m not sure if there is a microwave on site. There are many homeless around, but no more than you should expect in a city and it is still very safe. The hotel desk is staffed 24/7 and you need a key to enter.
