Nice place for a reasonable price, great location.
The hotel was fine for our stay. Nice location to the Warfield theater for our evening plans....a short 2 block walk. Lots of great dining options in the area. The desk agent at checkin was very nice and welcoming. The wifi speed was a bit sluggish and could be better. It was difficult to get regular television on the tv, possibly due to the slower wifi. Don't expect too much for the included breakfast and you will be ok.....coffee, apples, yogurt and small blueberry muffins. The price was right for a night in SF and would consider staying here again.

It was easy and smooth to check in, (loved the wine on arrival!), the staff was very friendly and conversed and checked in on me, especially punya! The rooms were a comfortable size with clean and modern finishes, I’m obsessed with the lobby decor with the gatsby style peacock doors and the bathrooooom 👀 I’ll definitely be staying here again :)

We stayed for 2 nights. Firstly when reviewing our stay it is important to separate what is in the hotel's control and what is not. The staff are welcoming, the rooms are minimalist but clean and comfortable, kudos on that. There is no operational dining facility, breakfast is snack like and no room service. The location is so close to the center of San Francisco, which is great. The uncontrollable relates to the location, the streets are filthy, with trash, homeless people on the floor and groups loitering. The outside noise is disruptive but also adds some entertainment. Overall, rooms cosey and clean, no frills services and tenderloin location. Expedia, this is a 3*hotel at best and am unlikely to return.

Nice ear plugs were provided, they were neede
The riom was small but clean. It was pretty noisy though, the street noise was constant. They did provide ear plug which was nice. Desk staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was very basic (yoghurt, muffin, apple, tea and coffee), the staff did tell us that at check in. Thry were happy to keep stuff in the fridge though if we wanted anything else (we bought milk and cereal for they kids, they were happy to store it and retrieve it every morning). Good for the price, I would stay again

Hotel Bijou is the Best
Hotel Bijou, is excellent. It is a beautiful and well maintained facility. I especially appreciated the night staff who checked me in and took care of my needs on 12-16-24. I think his name was Paju and I apologize for misspelling his name. I am planning to return and continue to use this Hotel in the future.

Parking is Falsely Advertised
Pros: The hotel itself was nice for the price. It was clean and the art deco style gave it a picturesque feel. The beds were comfortable and the room had a smart TV which was a nice surprise. The staff were kind and held our luggage for most of the day of check-in. Cons: THERE IS NO PARKING AVAILABLE. This was falsely advertised. You have to either park on the street (in a sketchy area) or pay for an overnight garage. The area is surrounded by drug dealers, prostitutes, and a large homeless population. If you don’t mind dealing with those things, go for it. Also, the room was smaller than expected, but probably average for a city like SF. Overall, I had a good experience at this hotel, but I wouldn’t stay there again unless it was the only decent option, mainly because of the location.

I had a great stay at Hotel Bijou in San Francisco! The welcome drink was a nice touch, and the hotel’s cleanliness stood out. While the surrounding area does have a number of houseless individuals, they were respectful, and the hotel thoughtfully provided earplugs to manage any noise. The location is fantastic—walkable to Union Square and plenty of shopping options. All in all, a wonderful experience!

This is a comfortable older hotel in a great location close to Union square and upscale shopping. We stayed 4 nights. San Francisco is a big city w a large number of homeless ppl around that area, but we felt safe. The front desk staff was exceptional. The service was amazing,very helpful, articulate and accommodating. Punya and Chris were the best. Punya went above and beyond to accommodate us.

Convenient and friendly
A great stay. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and both the public area and the room were clean and pleasant. It's in a very convenient location for both Bart & muni, with some good choices to eat nearby. It is in the middle of the city, so you will get street noise, but the hotel thoughtfully provided earplugs and it was usually quiet by eleven and didn't start getting noisy until about eight.

The Chris, the guy at front desk, he is nice and all the other staff as well, but the smell and area around the hotel is not worth staying, all halal food around, but nees to ask for it, If not necessary, pls dont stay here. Lot to say and lot of options of stay.

The hotel itself was lovely with ornate decorations, a comfy bed with lots of pillows, a clean bathroom, and complimentary service to leave your bags before you check in and after you check out if you want to explore the city. The coffee provided at breakfast was good, too. My only complaint is the area directly outside the hotel was dirty and rather noisy but not unexpected considering we were right near Union Square. It’s a great location to stay at if you want to explore all the typical tourist attractions like the Wharf, Chinatown, the Metreon, SFMOMA, and Japantown.
