I liked that it was an older hotel built in the early 1900's. While the housekeeper had the room door opened for cleaning I took a sneak peek at some of the other rooms and was surprised how the layout for each room seemed to be very different. The rooms are very clean. The bedding and towels clean and not worn. There isn't a cafe or restaurant, but there are food venues near by on the corner or on the next block. Complimentary coffee and tea available in the morning 7am to 10am. Lovely, large modern lobby area to wait, hang out or eat in.

I did not feel safe at this property. It has abandoned parts, it’s dimly lit in halls, the fire escape opened to a space that should not be accessible. I do not recommend for women or families.

Honestly everything was pretty great. Location was good for what we were doing and it didn't feel like it was too sketchy to go out. Great access to restaurants and the cable car line! Our only real complaint is that the toilet in our room was horrible and we had to flush it 3+ times just to get toilet paper to go down, let alone anything else.
