The lodge is a Tingdene, which is 40 feet long and 20 feet wide. It has 3 bedrooms. Two are doubles with TVs (one of which is an en-suite, with shower). The third bedroom is a twin. There is a bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The living (sofa with 2 recliners, TV and fire), dining and kitchen (oven hob and extractor, fridge/freezer, dish washer and microwave) area is all open plan. From the living area there is a set of double doors opening out to the back and a private decked area, with views towards the North York Moors. There is also a hot tub and outdoor furniture in the decked area. There is space outside to park 2 cars. WiFi available.

The property is located within a private gated development, bordering the North Yorkshire Moors, and situated on the edge of the pretty village of Burniston. There is a village shop, and several local country pubs nearby.

It is a 10 minute drive from the popular seaside town of Scarborough, with its many attractions, including the beach, Marine Drive, Sealife Centre, Water Park, Scarborough Spa, Open air theatre. Throughout the year there are many events to appeal to young and old alike.

The historic town and harbour of Whitby is approximately 25 minutes drive away, and the quaint harbour of Staithes is a short drive beyond.

Other seaside resorts nearby include Filey and Bridlington.

There are many good beaches nearby, other than Scarborough, including Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Skinningrove and Saltburn.

The area is a walkers paradise, with many good walks with exceptional views and breath taking scenery along the coast, and also inland in the North York Moors. These include the Cleveland Way, which follows both an inland and coastal route.

Local events include artists and bands at Scarborough Spa and the Open Air Theatre. The popular cycling event the Tour de Yorkshire regularly visits the area at the start of May.

Local wildlife is abundant, with deers regularly spotted from the property, and guaranteed seal spotting at Ravenscar.

The lodge needs a good clean inside and out and needs decoration overall the place is looking very tired There is no incentive to go in the hot tub as the out side is so dirty and needs a good clean Inside the toaster and dishwasher were dirty and the bathrooms weren’t very clean we won’t be staying again

The lodge was clean and had all you need for a home from home stay, we didn't use the hot tub but it looked clean and well kept from outside, the fence needed wood staining but I'm guessing this can only be done when no guests, it didn't detract from our stay, it looks like the out side is a work in progress but there was no garden in the listing so no problem, parking was easy, the owner answered questions quickly, the pricing was good and area nice and peaceful, yes I would stay here again so obviously a good place to holiday thank you

It is a lovely quite location. The property was clean with a few unexpected extras. Very large screen tv in the living room kept us entertained as venturing out wasn't very safe due to the recent riots taking place nearby in Scarborough. Good hot tub and scenery from the lodge. Easy entry to the property through remote controlled gates (remote provided).

Good value lodge, lovely hot tub, huge TV. Larger than your average lodge perfect for families , nice and spacious. Good facilities within the lodge , welcome pack included wine, milk, tea & coffee , hot choc & cookies which was much appreciated. Good hosts. Some rooms could do with a paint as could the decking & fence but this is minor issue . I would stay again and I would recommend it’s really good value and good location for exploring the area
