Is the person in the room opposite okay?
I am slightly worried about the person in the room opposite. When we first went to the room around 2pm a sealed burger king bag and soda carton were left outside the room opposite. They were clearly untouched and had been delivered. When we returned to the room at 9pm, they were still outside. Then the next morning at check out, the burger meal and soda carton were still there. I have to know- is that person okay? Did they survive? Why didn't you clean the corridor? Grim. Otherwise the room was fine, very basic but fine. The heater was super noisy though.

Called to check our reservation because our flight was delayed and we would arrive at the hotel later than planned. Male who answered (who spoke very broken English and hard to underwtand) said that we no longer had a room because of flooding. He offered no other assisstance or information We ended up driving home instead. NOT VERY HAPPY!!!!!!

Seemed like a pretty sketchy place. Odd people wandering around the outside. Outdated. Would not use the shower. Door to the room didn't close correctly. Had to throw your body into the door to the pool to open it.

Our room was in poor condition- peeling wallpaper, holes in wall, rusty hand rail in shower, cigarette burn in carpet. At least it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good.

We will never be coming back to this comfort inn location in Scarborough. When we first called to reserve, we were told we would be in rooms next to the friends we were traveling with. When we got there, we were given rooms not even on the same floor, and they told us they could not get us on the same floor, all because they didn’t want to have to clean the room we first walked into I’m sure. We had to call Choice hotels customer service number and argue with the front desk worker for an hour before we were given a room next to our friends like we were told. We finally got a room next to them, which smelled of stale cigarettes but we were over it at that point. Fast forward to the next morning, we were woken up at 9:00am by 2 LOUD bangs on our door, followed by the man cleaning rooms whip open our door and stand in the doorway before my boyfriend sat up and noticed someone had actually just come in. Mind you, we had the do not disturb sign up on the door!! We were so weirded out and appalled by this. We will now ALWAYS make sure to never forget to lock the hotel door. The staff at this place were very unprofessional and we were not happy with our stay at all.

The room was next to the elevator and when we opened the curtain, we looked at a huge roof (over the hotel entrance) that was only about 6 feet from the window, blocking any view of anything. Noises from the entrance, elevator and a utility closet opposite the elevator woke us intermittently all night long.

Fire alarm in room was beeping loudly all night. I went to the front desk and was told someone would be right there. No one came. Designated smoking area was right out the front door for all guests to walk through the discussing second hand smoke.

Property very quiet and in good location- bathroom and room were clean but wallpaper around baseboards was peeling- no place to plug coffeemaker in as desk prevented access to electrical outlet so I had to carry the coffeemaker around to find an outlet- breakfast was substandard with cold potatoes and eggs- staff seemed to disappear & not return when the coffee ran out!

The staff were unkempt, unprofessionally dressed in jogging pants, dirty shirts, shower shoes, and were on their phones in public areas. No coffee in breakfast area, and we were told he couldn’t open the bag to make more. Started cleaning and removing items before the 9:30am cut-off. Both days at the breakfast room, the trash container (only 1) was overflowing and the staff would only push it down. The counter where the food was, was always dirty. Hallways smelled musty and felt damp. Talking with a single lady at the property, she mentioned that she felt very unsafe at check-in and staying here due to the staff. Beds & pillows were comfortable, and bedding was clean but very wrinkled. The staff blocked the hallways with laundry bins as we were trying to leave making it difficult to maneuver our luggage to the elevator. The elevator mat was disgusting, dirty and didn’t fit properly which kept catching on the suitcase wheels.
