The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities. Unfortunately the microwave did not work and guest service did not about it. Neither did the local contact. Had bought home cooked food and the lack of a microwave was very bad.

Very damp
Overall the place was alright. Unfortunately, the listing doesnt describe how damp and musty the house is. There is a dehumidifier which i emptied at least twice a day and we kept windows open to try and ventilate it. I really hope the homeowner can address this issue or at least put it in the description. It could be a real problem if someone has allergies or asthma. I wont stay here again

Full Kitchen
What we liked: quiet and away from busy Bar Harbor, fully stocked kitchen with all necessary cooking supplies, Hodgdons restaurant just .6 miles away (a must!), fun Monopoly games, PlayStation, and a bunch of family movies. What we didn’t like: smelled of pets, microwave didn’t work, smoke alarm batteries were dying and would not stop chirping, the drive to the sites we wanted to see in Acadia was longer than we liked after hiking all day.

Great location to explore the island
The house looks small from the outside, but the open floor plan for living room, kitchen, and entrance made it feel just right. The accommodations were nice except we could only find 2 kitchen towels and no big trash bags. There is an IGA grocery store less than 15 minutes awsy which is handy. We loved going to the Seal Cove Automobile Museum just down the road a few miles on a rainy day and checking out the quiet side of the island. It was a great location for us. We loved exploring Acadia National Park. Our kids refused to sleep in the bunk bed because part of the ceiling was coming down there maybe from a leak at some point. The windows were tricky to open. The de-humidifier was a big help. There was dense fog during our stay, so without it, it would have been extremely muggy.

Acadia
This was one of the cleanest and most organized places that we stayed at with vrbo. It was very comfortable to relax after our hikes on the mountain. It was quiet. The kitchen was well equipped to do some cooking which helped us keep the price of our vacation down. Love the area.

Enjoy the quiet side of life
We enjoyed our stay at Lucky Stone Cottage. Very clean, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds with bedding and plenty of towels. It's close enough to Bar Harbor to enjoy all the shops and eateries. Acadia National Park is a must. Simply amazing views. I would suggest room darkening shades for the main bedroom. The sun rises early in Seal Cove and although it's beautiful to take in it is also nice to sleep a little later when on vacation. We loved it here.

A quiet place away from the crowd
It’s located in a quiet neighborhood not too far from bar harbor. It has two bedrooms with only one bath. We have a group of 3 people and a dog. The wait for the bathroom is the only little issue we had. The property has everything you need. The small bedroom has some smell which can be resolved by opening the window once a while. Overall we had a good stay there. Thank you for letting us stay there.

Decent but distant
The house itself met our needs just fine, especially the game consoles our son found in the second bedroom, but we will choose a different location for our next stay. The road noise, coupled with the visiting chickens from a (very) nearby neighbor, made the yard unusable and the 30 minute drive to most of the island's attraction meant we spent a lot of time in the car.

1st time visit & happy experience
This was our first experience renting for a vacation. We were happy with the property. The location felt a bit out of the way at times which would’ve been ok if we’d planned a bit better for food etc. We took advantage of the quieter & less trafficked hikes on that side of the island which was wonderful.

property needs some attention
When we arrived it looked like the place had only been superficially cleaned (ie only vaccuum). There were several dirty plates and cups in the cabinet that we washed before using as well as pans with thick burnt on grease. The house had a musty odor and there was visible mold in the tub. There was also no handsoap in either the kitchen or bathroom so we had to buy some. Outside of cleanliness issues, the house itself looked to need some attention. There was peel and stick laminate floors that were not lined up so you could see the subfloor. In the bathroom there was about a 1/4 inch by 12 inch length of subfloor you could see due to the "tiles" not being lined up properly. When you add on the THREE separate fees to the nightly rate, it was not worth the money. Would have rather spent the same amount and stayed in a nicer place closer to Bar Harbor.

Very clean, good location, quite retreat

Great little place on the quiet side of MDI.
The house was all it said it would be. Plenty of dishes, pots and pans etc House was clean and lots of games to play, dvds.... It was just right for 4 adults , one child and one dog. Easy to find and easy to get to back to the national park. Only drawback, the neighbor's roosters crowing from early morning and throughout the day. One suggestion, one tv uni ersal clicker vs. 4...

Cottage
The cottage was reasonable. It had everything we needed and was clean. The bathroom didn't have a window and had a weird smell. The house had a musty smell when we arrived. There was a rooster next door that made sure we were up very early in the morning. The price of the cottage was a real bargain. But the fees were outrageous! The cleaning fee was steep and there was a service fee and a booking fee on top of that!

Great home base for a visit to Acadia
We loved this house overall!! It fit six comfortably, the living area is very cute and was a great place to hang out, and the location is very convenient to Acadia. The kitchen was well-stocked and we appreciated the inclusion of linens, paper products, and other items so that we didn't have to pack quite as heavily. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the advertised wood stove was unfortunately locked so we couldn't use it. Also, it would be awesome if the owners added a fire pit or grill to the outside of the property - one or both of those could really enhance the experience during summertime. Really beautiful place though and a great value! Would go back.
