The hotel is OK for a one night stay in order to take the ferry next day. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable enough. Unfortunately it is right next to an oil refinery which polutes the atmosphere. On a very warm night we were unable to leave the window open because of this.

Lovely hotel
Lovely family run hotel, sensitively restored to a high standard in a small residential area just outside Muskiz. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are beautifully furnished. Although it is advertised as having a restaurant, it does not serve evening meals and we were directed to the local town which was very run down and although there were a few bars open, none served food and the restaurants we found were all closed. The factory referred to in other posts is in fact a massive oil refinery supplying 11,000 l oil daily and is a massive blot on the landscape. Though we could not see it from our room, nor does it produce any significant noise or fumes, it is hard to ignore.

Like many other reviews, this hotel is in a great location for a one night stay before the ferry. But, the oil refinery outside the window isn’t great!!

Nice hotel in good location for ferry port.
Good location if catching the ferry for Bilbao with a lovely beach and restaurants 5 minutes drive away. Hotel was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Continental breakfast was good and varied. Refinery is a bit of an eyesore during the day but as it was a quick stopover it didn't worry us and at night it looked quite nice all lit up.

Excellent location for Bilbao Ferry Port, interesting building, Good Breafkast everyone very helpful. Positioning of hotel next to Oil Refinery not so good with a constant hum from the machinery. Good overnight stop.

Lovely cabin room
We had one of the outside cabin rooms which was lovely - nicely decorated & very clean. The hotel is well located for access to the port & the town, but still quiet. The downside of this location is the oil refinery right next door but as the cabins face in to the garden area it’s not a problem. In fact it’s quite spectacular at night when it’s all lit.

Convenient for the Bilbao ferry terminal
The hotel is convenient for sailing from Bilbao ferry terminal, but is next to an industrial suburb, so the outlook is not great. Hotel is friendly and adequately appointed. The staff speak no English but somehow communication is achieved. The breakfast was fine, the dinner very simple with a choice of only two main dishes, but adequate and reasonably priced.

Charming hotel in an industrial nightmare
Thé welcome is warm and friendly, rooms comfortable, bathrooms spacious And owners are a delight. However it is set on a hill above Muskiz looking down at the most appalling industrial factory view that belches out noxious fumes morning noon and night and that is a major strike against what is otherwise a great stop over.
