Uninhabitable Conditions and Appalling Customer Service
Our stay at this property was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. Upon arrival, the suite smelled strongly of raw sewage. The front desk manager knew about this issue (caused by hurricane damage months ago) but still checked us in, calling it “the nicest suite in the building.” The odor was so overwhelming that we felt sick immediately and had to stand in the hallway.When we called the front desk, the manager dismissed our concerns and sent housekeeping with air fresheners, which was not a solution—especially since I’m allergic. Despite our repeated requests to be moved, the manager was rude, dismissive, and hung up on us multiple times. Anita, the housekeeper, was amazing, helping us advocate to the manager for another room, though the one offered was unclean and occupied. Anita cleaned it herself, going above and beyond to help us.Additional issues included a broken dryer, no sponge for dishes, a shared shower due to broken fixtures, and an elevator that was out 75% of our stay, making the building inaccessible for our elderly guest.The front desk manager’s unhelpfulness and dismissive attitude made everything worse. The only compensation offered was a cleaning fee refund, which was unacceptable given the conditions. This property is poorly maintained, and the management is not guest-focused. Avoid at all costs!
