Overpriced During Remodeling
There are a couple issues that need to be addressed and resolved. So for the price no, I don’t recommend this place at all 1: Valet is absurd. There is no place to park and for Hotel Guests you’re forced to park across street which suddenly is the Ghetto or take Valet which is $40 a night. That’s just insanity. 2: layout of room is crap. Why is the couch facing the bed? Why is the TV mounted on a wall in between so you can’t see the TV unless you move the heavy couch in the middle which Blocks the bathroom entrance once you do? Who designed this, Helen Keller? 3: noise of the fridge, noise of the a/c is absurd. It’s all I heard all night and it makes you feel like you have tinnitus. 4: The design looks ok, but it’s an empty bland shell with no amenities. Either you go eat at the very overpriced restaurant or you order food. That’s it. I’m not spending $30 on a burger with a drink. It has a nice theme (20’s) but it lacks in that aspect as well. The bed was ok nothing great. Pillows were comfy. It has Roku service which is ok but overall would NOT recommend.

Just completed my stay for jury duty and was incredibly impressed! Literally steps away from the federal courthouse, this should be your go-to location for if you need that or anything in the downtown Tampa area. Obviously undergoing major exterior renovations but the interior is elegant, spacious, and welcoming. I especially need to shout out to Nicholas at the front desk for going above and beyond several times and never making me feel like I was bothering him. Thank you! My suite was clean, felt safe, felt calm and I enjoyed the mini fridge and the lovely shampoo. Hot water took a little while to get going but it’s an old building so I get it. Shower head felt below standard as it was the standard motel/hotel shower head. I wished that the shower head was a little above grade but it was still great. The Dan downstairs is fantastic and my server Doug was efficient and friendly. Food is great and the atmosphere is even better. Flor in the Morning is great too but I wish the menu was a little more varied. I also wish the destination fee was explained a little more upon check in. But overall this stay was fantastic and I would stay here again anytime I’m in town. Room rates are fair, and everything felt clean and safe. Thank you Hotel Flor (and especially my homie Nicholas!)

The location was great. The outside of the building was under construction so all your views are obstructed. The shower had no hot water, but the sink did. Other than that it’s a great hotel room, beautiful and great staff.

Overall our stay was good. My only reason why I didn’t give it a 5 star was because the AC in our room was not the best, and one of the elevators was broken and there was a convention going on so the elevator took very long to arrive. Other than that the customer service was A1. The young lady that checked us in was very nice and so helpful.

The beds were very clean and comfortable! The hotel was under construction and limited in services. The parking was $40.00 per 24 hr and I was expecting $15.00. Maybe after the construction they will have more to offer.

I wish I knew about the construction on the exterior of the property. It definitely took away from the beauty of the place. I opened my curtains to see blue tape around windows and the view was obstructed by scaffolding. very disappointed

Property is beautiful inside, construction going on on the outside. Front desk was very nice, food a beverages service were understaffed, at breakfast we had to keep reminding the server for every little thing multiple times, after a while we gave up. We wanted to get a drink before we went to to dinner so we went to the Dan restaurant downstairs, there was only one bartender and we waited 20 minutes for 2 drinks which we had to gulp down because our ride was there waiting. Our room had no hot water (room was beautiful and big) 11th floor we called and the came right away to turn the heater on. Next day "no hot water again" so we had to move rooms. These are very minor things, the lobby was beautiful but for the money, they were lacking in the most important areas. No compensation for having to change rooms. Also they have a free shuttle to take you to and from your location, thank God, parking is a nightmare.
