Beautiful Getaway amazing views! Sleeps 6

Silas’s Hideaway is a newer home just outside of the town of Dushore in Sullivan County, nested on a hillside to enjoy the views.
We have very good internet, and a Very large 2 sided wrap around deck with deck chairs and table. Two bedrooms, Sleeps 6 with 3 Queen beds. All bed linens and pillows are provided. Bath is fully stocked with towels and bath. We have two the freestanding air conditioner units in kitchen living room areas, and one in the large bedroom, and a window unit in the other bedroom. We usually place the a/c units in towards the end of June. And are in place till cool weather arrives.
The kitchen has a gas stove, full size refrigerator with a ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender, mixer and coffee maker and a Keurig. Cabinets are stocked with dishes, glassware, silverware, pots pans and utensils for both the home and outdoor grill area.
Large open concept living area. With sofas, recliner, we have great internet service with smart TV, (so can access over 200 channels also you are able to sign into your Netflix, You Tube, etc accounts) and a DVD player with movies, and a stereo and speakers .
Silas Hideaway has a stone stacked fire pit which features two custom made bench. We took a 100 year old piece of farm equipment apart and turned it into bench’s.
Also bring your charcoal we have a park style grill right off the back deck of the home with quick easy access to the kitchen.

Something we have invested in UV Germicidal lamps, we use these after each guest leave , for disinfection. Also our home is throughly cleaned after all guests leave.

Silas’s Hideaway is located near Worlds End State Park and Ricketts Glen State Park.

Clean place, convenient terrible shower
This place is very clean and it has just one floor. It’s very close to Dushore and has a great and well stocked kitchen. The beds are comfortable and the heating and AC work well. My biggest issues is the shower. I don’t usually like very hot water when I shower but this shower was barely above body temperature. We spoke to the owners, but didn’t do anything or came to check on it. The view is ok. There is a highway right in front. I probably would not stay here again.

Another great trip
This was our third time staying here and once again it did not disappoint! The location is perfect for us with our two children. We loved using the fire pit and sitting on the deck. The home is in a convenient location close to town and within minutes of all major attractions. Very clean and cozy. We will absolutely be back again.

A No-Brainer
After looking at a dozen or more places in the area of Dushore (on line), I happened on Silas Hideaway and grabbed it. It was exactly as advertised, perfect for the three of us "seniors" - easy access, clean, all the conveniences from beautiful linens to coffee pots, nightlites to ice cubes.....the perfect end to a long day of traveling.

Silas Lane is picturesque and peaceful
Up on a ledge of a hill, the house has a balcony with a beautiful view. We are 20 minutes away from our favorite state park, and everyone loves the added benefits of this place.

Perfect Getaway
Perfect place to get away and reset for two hard-working individuals. Felt like we were at our own place - didn’t receive much communication from the property manager while we were there, but she was responsive when we contacted about a minor connectivity issue for the TV. Enjoyed use of the grill, fire pit, and the wrap-around porch/balcony. The clear view from the kitchen and living room into the mountains was breathtaking, and beautiful to wake up to each morning. Great place for anyone of any age - access to games, movies, and entertainment as well, and super tidy & clean upon arrival. Thank you for the perfect place to retreat! 🙂

Girls weekend
Me and my two friends stayed here for the weekend. It was a lovely home and had all the amenities we could have asked for. We had a fire on Friday. We brought our own wood because we weren’t sure if there was going to be wood available for us to use and to our surprise there was. We hiked all day on Saturday and then came back to the warmth of the house in the evening. We would definitely stay again.
