A little patch of old school…
Settlers is a quaint little motel. We were in Turangi for the fly fishing and the river is nearby. The room was spotless and comfortable. It is not modern or flash. Donna is a wonderful, chatty and helpful host.

Comfortable stay. Nice large room. Wifi did not work. The owner was a really nice lady and made you feel welcome. 5 minute walking distance to local bar, supermarket, Burger King as well as close to walking track and lake fishing.

Due to Palmerston North and BP Connect in Taihape becoming a place of interest , and we had been in/at both after the Auckland truck drivers visits we had to cancel our booking. I could not make contact with Expedia to cancel our booking and rang the motel ,left a message, then rang again to ensure they had actioned my cancellation. The lady at the motel said she was not happy about us cancelling and was rather unpleasant about the whole situation.

We liked everything, its not the first time that we have stayed at the Motel. Donna was very friendly and help full. It is always nice when you can stay somewhere and just relax. Will definitely stay there again.
