You are all set to explore the island at centrally located Makani A Kai #B-7 2nd floor, no elevator. It's an easy commute to the West, South, North sides and all their sights and adventures. This condo has two modern split level A/C units; one in the master bedroom. A shoji-door divides the living-room and guest bedroom that the split level modern A/C can cool the area when the room dividing door is open. A two-bedroom, two bath unit with soaring ceilings, lots of light, and beach park and ocean views. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers, one bedroom has a king bed, one a queen, and with the sofa sleeper in the living room, there is room for up to 6 guests. On days you want to stay close to home base, you’ll have everything you need to make you feel at home: A/C, cable TV, high-speed internet, free WIFI, and a fully equipped kitchen that’s ready for your culinary skills. The resort's grounds are beautifully maintained and include a pool, barbecue station, and plenty of lounge chairs; all of it ocean front. From your lanai and grounds, there’s much to see out in the bay: harbor boats, racing outriggers, kayaks, paddlers, and Humpback Whales in winter; they are spectacular with their blowing and their breaching, their slapping and their graceful gliding! It’s also fun to watch the surfers at Haycraft Beach Park next door. By the way, that’s where you can access the 2.5 mile stretch of sand known as Sugar Beach, it extends all the way down to North Kihei and is serenely uncrowded with uninterrupted views. Amazing Location

Super close to the beach and harbor. I would recommend this location for any of your stays here! the only thing that I would say is finding the unit is a little difficult because there are very few signs on the building to help you find it the first time you go there. Other than that 10/10 would go there again!

Comparison to condo closer to harbor

We stayed in a condo last year that was closer to the harbor, and, it had a MUCH better view of the ocean for whale-watching. This view was VERY restricted!!

Great place with awesome secluded walking beach

Comfortable accommodations for two couples and a 12 year old. Some noise from living room traveled to guest bedroom because it is open at ceiling and has only panels to block off from main room. Beds were comfortable and we loved that there were beach towels to use and plenty of bathroom towels and kitchen towels. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, cups, spices, oil, sugar and even honey. AC controls were hard to figure out. View was good off lanai, just as it appears in pictures looking over park next door to condos. Beach access was amazing and you could walk with ocean on one side and grass/trees/no buildings on the other side. We did not swim but saw some swimming and paddle boarding. Communication with Maui Realty was not great- after making the reservation and getting a confirmation email from them I replied to the email and got no response. The price breakdown was different on Vrbo then what maui realtors email showed me and that was concerning to me and made me doubt the legitimacy of the listing. Maui Realty never addressed my question but the price was less and I received a rental agreement to sign and so I just went ahead with it but I was still slightly worried about it.

Great location.

The unit was wonderful. We had a view of the ocean & beach from our unit and often we were the only people on it. You could walk for miles! The unit faces onto a public park just fyi. It didn’t bother us but people use it to shower etc. The unit was well stocked. The manager responded quickly to our wifi issues and we were happy with our stay! We went with another couple so be aware that the front bedroom isn’t a real bedroom as the wall is a moving wall and doesn’t goto to ceiling. It worked well for us and each couple had their own bathroom and ac unit which is nice. I’ve never stayed in maalaea Bay before and it was amazing! Beach is perfect, snorkeling is amazing and location is very central. Highly recommend

4th time in this unit! No ka oi (the very best!)

This was our 4th stay in this unit. Nothing compares. The view, the location, all of it. It only gets better each time. We are 3 friends (50+) that travel the world together and we love the unit overlooking the shore and the local beach park. Long walks to Kihei along Sugar Beach and turtles popping their heads up out of the surf. This trip we even saw 3 whales frolicking. We love B7 and look forward to our next trip. Mahalo for hosting us.

Nice little condo, far enough from the Kihei crowds but close enough to drive for groceries etc. Beautiful beach! Public park right next door fills with local families picnicking on weekends.

Amazing rental!

The pictures don't do this adorable condo justice. Such a clean, classy unit. Very quiet. Amazing view! It took 20 seconds to walk to the beach. We could see turtles and whales from the balcony. Would absolutely stay again!

Great location to travel to east or west of the Island.

Everything you need for an hawaiian stay

This condo was very clean upon arrival. Beds are totally comfortable and kitchen is VERY well equiped. The only reason we did not give a 5 stars is that we believed washer and dryer where in the condo, but they are located in a common building and you have to pay to use them. That was not a real problem, but at first we were surprised. Over all, I would definitely rent this condo again. The view on the Haleakala is terrific and the complex is a real gem.

Great location, simple clean condo

We had amazing time staying in this property. Short 2 min walk to the beach. We enjoyed a sound of waves every night and the sea view every day. The property is small, clean and simple, we found there everything we needed. We are family with 4 kids. The place is quiet and far away from the crowd of tourists and night life. Great location. We’d like to come back.
