The whole experience started horribly, checking in with the older female receptionist was unprofessional she stated she couldn’t see my name in the system. I showed her the confirmation email, and she dismissed me and said you must rebook with us I can’t find you. She then said there’s no option for two beds. I was so frustrated, the other receptionist chimed in and asked what’s my last name, she found it with no problem and apologized on the behalf of the worker. In the morning, I was awakened by the cleaning lady she was loud talking and dragging her cleaning cart. The last thing, I found to be insane there’s no water in the refrigerator. I asked for water and the receptionist said i need to buy the water. I paid $12.00 for two bottles Dasani water and a Welch snack that price was outrageous. Water is a basic need why can it be free? The next day, I asked to speak to the manager he was dismissive and said you should have read the sign there’s no complimentary and this is how the company makes there money. Furthermore, he said I wasn’t a member they get the special treatment of having water and soda in there refrigerator. The tone of his voice was sarcastic I didn’t appreciate it. I’ve been to many hotels and never experienced this type of service, it was disturbing. I’ll never book there again. I’ll make sure to share my experience with every social media outlet. Holiday Inn express needs to do better in customer service and provide water it’s a basic need.
