They hotel was lovely. If a little dated. Even if they got rid of the pelmets from the windows would help. Staff and food was excellent even tho they did charge us twice for the dinner they did take it off no questions asked. Breakfast was lovely tho a little early finish time for us

Bed sheets had blood on them including the internal quilt, which says to me that the bedding hadn’t been changed from previous occupants. Shower hard did not angle down so we had to use it hand held, obviously not ideal if you’re trying wash long hair. Batteries flat in the tv remote. Other than the room and its faults the rest of the hotel was very nice.

Avoid
The room was dirty and run down, make up or blood on the wall, headboard was pleather and was all scratch off and peeling. Windows ledge was covered in dead bugs. Neither the iron or tv worked either! My colleagues bathroom was genuinely disgusting. Mine was ok. Also the noise traveled through the floor and every noise EVERY Noise from above can be heard in your room means our sleep was disrupted.

I am sorry to say that our stay at Whittlebury Park was a bit disappointing. We arrived on Sunday 22nd Sept to drop our car off as we were having a day at Silverstone but staying that night. As I waited in the reception area for my husband to park the car, I could clearly hear 3 members of reception staff gossiping behind the front desk. I have no issue with people having a chat, but very unprofessional to do this with guests around. Check in - there was a large party of golfers checking in, but only 1 member of staff!. Room - really nice room (standard double), but incredibly hot, a stand up fan was provided but this gave little recourse from the extreme heat. Window only opened 4 inches. Did not have a good nights sleep. Only 1 small tube of bathing gel for 2 people which only lasted 1 night and nothing for the morning. Breakfast - poor for a 4 star hotel. limited choice of fresh fruit, little choice of yoghurt. Lovely looking bread on display, and it was just for display purposes and only bread on offer was wholemeal or white sliced bread. I saw a waitress bringing back a plate of food from a table and the piece of wholemeal bread had mold the size of a 2p piece. My husbands mug clearly had a large chip! Cooked breakfast stand, bacon very overcooked and hard. Checkout - when I mentioned that room could do with air conditioning, I was met with 2 stony faced receptionists who made no comment, and did not even ask me if we had a nice stay.

A disappointment. Check in was poor, needing to join one queue to complete check in paperwork and a second queue to pay. Staff offered no advice on evening meal options or breakfast time/locations, resulting in me dining at a local pub rather than on site as I’d intended. My room was in the “Paddock” annex - an annex with dirty corridors and filthy mould covered bathroom. Most definitely not what was expected from Whittlebury Hall and certainly not recommended. No opportunity at checkout to provide feedback as the two lads on reception to busy chatting to each other about how tired they were.

Fantastic value
This is a big, luxurious complex with spa and golf course. I was staying in an annex which was a short walk from reception. The room was small but very comfortable, and spotless. For £75 a night, including a first class breakfast, it was fantastic value - I stay at hotels that cost twice as much and are half as good. It only gets one less than five stars because there was no TV remote in the room (although I know that a call to reception would have procured one) and there was no welcome information in the room, which could have explained the layout and the services of the hotel.

Enjoyed our stay here, the rooms were a bit dated but spacious and comfortable. Great location for Silverstone and beautiful setting. The spa is pretty standard. We found the staff generally ok however some look really miserable like they really don’t want to be there and it shows. Also nobody informed us that there is a limit on late check outs so if you want one make sure you book it the day you arrive as we were told they had run out which has never happened to us in a hotel advertising lake check outs before? Also no use of the Spa following check out. Apart from that a pleasant stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at Whittlebury Hall, the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the paddock building which was a short walk from main hotel. It wasn’t unsatisfactory however the walls did seem slightly thin, and we were able to hear upstairs quite loudly.
