We had such a comfortable stay @ Harrabeer country house. We had a very warm welcome after a long day driving with a nice cuppa and biscuits. The room we had was superb, clean, spacious and very comfortable - exactly what we needed after long days exploring. Brekkie was also delicious! Would highly recommend a stay at this wonderful country house . Thank you Nicky for your amazing hospitality! Thanks Jaclyn & Dan Oliver.
We were greeted very warmly by Nicky with cups of tea and biscuits and proceeded to give us information about the hotel and about the area.
Our stay was very comfortable and we will have no hesitation in returning.
Breakfast was excellent, from fresh fruit, cereals and a full English! During our stay we didn’t go hungry 😀
Amanda and Michael were wonderful! We are pregnant, and the couple was so kind to make sure we were comfortable. Amanda is like the mom everyone wants; kind and caring, yet giving you room to be. And Michael is witty and will surely make you think and laugh. They can make a pretty yummy breakfast too! The property was quant and comfortable.
We would surely return and definitely recommend!
Amazing!!! Lovely place to stay, Michael and Amanda are fantastic hosts, so friendly and welcoming!! THE BEST FOOD!!! Absolutely delicious!! Can’t recommend this place enough!!!
Run by a friendly couple who clearly take allot of pride in their work. Made to feel very welcome and received a great service all round. Breakfast time was perticularly fun due to excellent food and service and the good humour of the hosts.
Absolutely fantastic. Extremely well looked after

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Very clean, breakfast was good every thing you would like to eat. The owners were very nice and helpful.
Such a welcoming place. Amanda and Michael could not have been more attentive, friendly and professional. It was such a lovely place to be and we will for sure return.
The reception from the couple who run this hotel was excellent. They knew who we were and made us feel very welcome immediately. They remained attentive, friendly and warm throughout without being overbearing.
We liked it so much we would go back
Our hosts, Amanda and Michael, had thought of everything to make Harrabeer House a home from home. They couldn't do enough for us. A wonderful choice of breakfast fare, served with a friendly smile and joke by Michael, was made even more of a treat when Amanda offered freshly baked fruit muffins.
On the edge of Dartmoor, it is well placed for walking as well as being close to Plymouth. Nearby Buckland Abbey and The Garden House are both well worth a visit.
We would certainly recommend a stay at this property.
Very unique property, comfortable and extremely friendly. Offered a cup of tea on arrival which was very kind. Facilities were offered having a guest sitting room and lovely dining area. The garden was gorgeous and full of bird song. Plenty of seating outside too. Our ensuite master room was beautiful with a bay window and seating area. Bed was huge and comfortable. We slept very well and woke for a scrumptious breakfast - one of the best we've had. The place is cosy and intimate - It was like staying with friends! However my advice would be to eat there for dinner or drive somewhere - we walked to The Rock Inn at Yelverton which I would NOT recommend (the pub not the walk!) Ask your hosts for advice!
What a lovely place to stay. Beautiful old house, full of old-world charm. Wonderful food and great company. In a frantic and relentless world, this is just the place to come to unwind, realx and be well looke after. Can't recommend it enough! Many thanks to Michael and Amanda - wonderful hosts.
We love staying in this hotel and are always assured of a warm welcome. A very comfortable bed and a really lovely breakfast is assured. The hotel is very quiet and you are sure to get a good night's rest. The location is first class for exploring Plymouth, Dartmoor and this part of Devon.
