Great amount of space for 2 adults and 3 children. Loft railing was not enclosed so was very nervous about children coming upstairs and falling through the gaps to the floor.

While the property is inexpensive, there are a number of concerns: 1 The shower sliding door fell off the tracks on my first night and was very dangerous.I could have cut myself very badly. MUST be fixed. 2 The stairs to the room have very narrow treads making them awkward and potentially dangerous for old people like me. 3 My window faced the street which is lit up at night. The curtain is thin and flimsy so it is impossible to make the room even semi-dark. The carpet on the stair risers is worn to the wood in parts and looks really dirty. My room was only superficially cleaned, however the bed was made nicely. The property was convenient for my purpose but not comfortable. I won't stay there again.

The room was comfortable but thought it could do with a little bit of an upgrade,unfortunately we did have some cockcroaches in the room.Honestly though the staff were so friendly made us feel very welcome and the food was amazing.

Pub is good, not so the accommodations.
The pub side is excellent, but the accommodation needs a lot of TLC. The internet was very, very slow. So slow it timed out. Wouldn’t stay again.

Premium price for budget accomodation. Aircon doesn’t heat (freezing night), hot water runs out in 3 minutes (so can’t use the spa we paid extra to have), bed super uncomfortable. Spotlight on the outside roof shining right out the window next to the bed at night. Whole place just extremely tired and in need of major refurbishment. The light fitting in our room had exposed wires coming out of the ceiling at the top. Only redeeming quality was the reception/bar staff who were super friendly the two interactions we had with them.

stay was very good happy with the room as it met my expectations. Two small negatives. It would have been better to be able to close the window, so as to reduce outside noise. No big fix. Also the coffee cups didn't sit in the sauces, hence hard to handle. That said l was happy overall.

This accommodation options is a number of compromises. We stayed in an upstairs room that was great value for money but had a few downsides. The room could do with a repaint, some new mirrors as they are stained and a HDTV as you can't watch all channels (and the universal remote doesn't work properly). The room was clean and had nice outlook over the main street although that brings with it a few noise issues but not too bad. If you have mobility issues avoid the upstairs rooms as they take a bit of getting to. Balancing this is the other facilities at the property. They have a log fire downstairs in a modern bar area with friendly staff and a good selection of drinks. The Steakhouse has a wide range of great food The venue is located within walking distance of an array of other restaurants, pubs and shops and a short drive to places like Beerenberg Farm Shop, Udder Delights cheeses or the Farm Barn for little ones. Overall we would use the venue again.

We just had a 3 night stay in the cheaper rooms upstairs.The room was great for the price with the cleaning staff coming in each day to freshen up the room. Great dining downstairs having tea there on our first night.. l would highly recommend if your after a budget friendly room.
