If i come Bonn again I stay again. Clean, central , polite workers. Otanthic building and furniture remind and take me 50 years ago. Feel well.

Convenient location to the Market
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Liked the location of the hotel as it was in the center of the marketplace. Loads to see and enjoy. Hotel was older but well maintained and clean.

The hotel is old but it is near everything. The breakfast was very good and the people that run the hotel are very nice. I would stay here again.

Not for pensioners.
Great location but that's about it. It says 3 star but 2 star is stretching it. It needs a major renovation but why bother - it seems to do enough business as is. But the staff were all pleasant.

Nice hotel in centre of Bonn.
An excellent location on the same street as the Beethoven house and just round the corner from the market.The staff are friendly and the hotel is clean and decorated with Beeethoven memorabilia. The downside is that there are several steps to go up to get to reception and several more to get to the rooms and no lift making it unsuitable for elderly or disabled people and possibly people with young families, but it is fine for younger people.

Beautiful location!
Walking distance to Beethoven house and shopping center. Parking might be challenging and expensive. We paid 18 euro for parking per night and it was not close to the hotel. Be aware: for parking, the machine does not take American credit cards, only cash. A big inconvenience! We were very surprised about how few places took actually American credit cards in Germany. Be prepared to pay with cash in most places!

Character, friendly and a good breakfast.
I love this hotel. Full of character and great breakfast which is better than many 4 star hotels. Right in the center of town but not on a loud street.

The hotel was worn and falling apart. Ceiling held together with tape, carpets stained and torn. Biggest complaint is they did not honor the agreed to rate. They added an additional tourist tax. The did say if I would provide some sort of evidence that I was on business they would not have to. I got the impression they were encouraging me to be less than honest so they could avoid having to pay the tax. I don't so that sort of thing and I don't like doing business with people that do.

Nice hotel in centre of city
We were a couple staying for six days. The hotel has an excellent location on a pedestrianised street right in the centre of the city near the Beethoven House, and very close to a stop for trams from Siegburg if coming by ICE train. The public areas have a slightly worn appearance and there are a lot of stairs (no lift) so maybe not great if you have a lot of heavy luggage. Our room was comfortable and quite spacious and there was good free WiFi - there is also a PC and printer available in a public area.There was some early morning noise from trucks unloading at nearby shops/restaurants. There was an excellent breakfast. Altogether I would strongly recommend this hotel as a very good value and pleasant place to stay in the centre of Bonn.

I will book this hotel again in the future.
The Hotel is very good in its location to the city center and businesses in the area. The service was also good. The reception is excellent. The breakfast buffet is complete and gives a choice to make. The only thing that was uncomfortable was the steep stairs to the top rooms. I will recommend it to others who wish to pay less for a reasonably good service.

Worth the quirks
This hotel is in a great location with a very good breakfast buffet, so it is my usual place when I travel to Bonn. It needed a facelift about 20 years ago, and while the rooms are kitschy, the bed is reasonably comfortable. The bathroom is not very nice, but is clean. The showerhead wouldn't stay up, so I used the stool to sit down in the shower, to deal with the issue. Overall, for the location, breakfast and friendly service, it is worth dealing with the quirks of the place.

I was there with my daughter,gays in reception are very costumer oriented,ready for any help you can ask/need . Old fashion hotel is build ed in beginning of last century, without any important Restoration ,in center of city Bonn,with all benefits and is very quite. I will go again.

The staff was nice and the location is excellent. The building is a nit old of course, but even decorations and its ambiance are a bit tacky. They also didn't have hot water that morning so we could t take a shower.

No elevator, little English but in a great locatio
I stayed in this hotel to attend the Intersessional of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change October meeting. First off, the hotel has no elevator and for an asthmatic like me, this was really difficult. Second, the reception guy, an old guy, speaks very English; hence, English speaking guests need to learn some German words so you can communicate. I think this is applicable in all of Bonn, probably all of Germany. However, the hotel is located in the middle of the Old Bonn center where all the nice buildings and all the shopping areas are. It is also very near the house-turned-museum of Beethoven.

Needed central location, near to U bahn and this fitted the bill. Good wireless (free) in hotel. Hotel decor rather jaded, but okay for a cheap place to sleep. On largely pedestrianised road so quiet.

We enjoyed our stays in this apartment (Berlin 18 & 19), it is family oriented environment that allowed some privacy. We enjoyed morning breakfast during our stay. The location of the hotel are so convenient that we can choose to eat out or cook our own. Shopping, visiting Beethoven House are all within walking distance.We appreciate the considerate male senior Staff when we first arrived at the hotel just before 12 midnight of 27 Oct 2014, when he suggested to us to take the first level apartment instead of 3rd level due to the flights of stairs my mother had to climb as there is not lift. Except one problem that it is rather cold during the night especially the single bedded room when the heater was switch off.
