This hotel was adequate, but needs a refresh and wasn’t good value for money, considering it was over $400/night CDN. There was large debris under one of the nightstands. We left a note for the cleaner but nothing was done about it. The location was great and there are many restaurants nearby, but we were kept awake at night by a lot of street noise. Would not stay here again.

Horrible experience

Me and my family got off a cruise ship in Miami at 7:30 in the morning. Made it to the hotel by 8 AM. I knew to check in would not be possible that early. The front desk did see if there was a room readily an available for us and there was not he told me he would make our room a first priority and that checkout was at 11. Let’s try back around 12 1230 so we checked our bags with valet And took a stroll down to Fort Lauderdale Beach and had lunch came back about 1230 to 1 o’clock, still no luck on a room meanwhile, they were checking in other guest while we sat in their lobby for hours waiting for our room. Did not get to check in till 3 PM. It seemed like there was no communication with the housekeeping staff for a priority. They did not offer us a different style room to get us in quicker. We were falling asleep in their lobby while we waited after an exhausting week the next morning when we woke up, we noticed that housekeeping was already cleaning rooms by 9 AM so I’m not sure how they could not figure that out the day before the beds were not comfortable the pillows were cheap was a nice area and a historical hotel but I’ve been at way better hotels, especially for the price. I would never come back and I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

The Riverside was perfectly located in Fort Lauderdale for our stay before our cruise. We had an easy check in and then needed to change rooms (not their fault at all) due to needing a no step in shower for my elderly father. Miles at the front desk was incredibly helpful and made the process happen. We enjoyed the onsite restaurants with the exception of the quality of food at the Boathouse (not great and ery $$$). We enjoyed seeing the sites and people watching on Las Olas Blvd. and also taking both the Water Trolley and Water Taxi which is stop #1 very near to the hotel.

Wonderful venue!

Beautiful roomy accommodations across from water taxi canal. Boathouse restaurant for dinner & hotel restaurant for breakfast—both excellent for food & service. Highly recommend thus venue on Las Olas!
